Summary of the Book

Years ago, the village of Konohagakure faced a nightmare they are yet to forget. A monstrous Nine-Tailed Fox attacked the village for unknown reasons. It killed many ninjas who tried to fight it. One brave warrior, the legendary Fourth Hokage, faced the creature. However, even he wasn’t a match for the creature’s power. In desperation, he sacrificed himself and sealed the creature within the body of a young boy, ridding the village of the menace. Now, the village is a peaceful refuge and the ninjas undertake small missions to earn money. They are mighty warriors, able to use devastating attacks to deal damage to their foes and a symbol of pride. Among them, however, is a mischievous young boy named Uzumaki Naruto. He is still in the Ninja Academy, where he has failed thrice already. This year, he decides, he will pass the exam. He might be in over his head, for the test is the dreaded body duplication technique: the Bunshin no Jutsu. And that’s the one technique Naruto completely fails at. About Masashi Kishimoto

Masashi Kishimoto is a Japanese mangaka. He is best known for the Naruto manga series which is currently ongoing in the Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in Japan.

He is the elder twin brother of Seishi Kishimoto, who is known for 666Satan and Blazer Drive.

Naruto has since been adapted into two award winning anime series: Naruto and Naruto Shippuden.
