Ice packs like this which you can stuff full of ice (and this holds a lot – about 2 large trays) will stay ice cold for about 45 minutes which is perfect when you want to ice more than one part of your body. Gel packs will remain effective only for about 8-10 minutes.

Great product. I love the fact that the material is soft, light weight and can fit around a specific area of the body you need it for. Better than the traditional hot water bottle that's stiff and bulky.
