This Nikon DSLR camera sports the EXPEED 3 image processor that delivers faster speeds and high image quality. The CMOS image sensor measures 13.2 x 8.8 mm and enables the fast performance of the camera and its light sensitivity. The camera can shoot images in both 3:2 and 16:9 aspect ratios, letting you watch your photographs on televisions or projectors. Body

The 1 V1 weighs 383 g, when the battery and memory card have been installed. The body of the DSLR is designed to be ultra-compact, with a groove on the front right panel that lets you grip the body firmly. The simple back panel features the traditional buttons that are easy to reach when the camera is in use. The rotary dial lets you flip through modes on the fly. 

The electronic TFT LCD viewfinder has a resolution of 1,440,000 dot pixels with diopter controls that can be customized to fit the individual needs of every photographer. Performance

The camera body features a Nikon 1 mount that can accept interchangeable lenses. The lens included in this kit has a focal length of 10 - 30 mm and a 35 mm equivalent focal length of 27 - 81 mm. The lens has an aperture range of f/3.5 - 5.6, letting you take spectacular images on aperture-priority. The 3xx zoom lens gives you a slight zoom that can be experimented with when you’re a fair distance away from you subject.

The hybrid Auto Focus has modes like single-point, auto-area and subject tracking. The 1 V1 features 135 focus areas in single-point Auto Focus mode and 41 focus areas in auto-area Auto Focus mode. The light sensitivity of this mirror-less camera has a range of ISO 100 - 3200, letting you take bright images regardless of the time of the day or night.

The Nikon 1 V1 features both an electronic and mechanical shutter with a speed range of 1/16.000 - 30 seconds that let you take dramatic images even in the dark, or of a moving subject. The bulb mode allows you to leave the shutter open for as long as you keep the shutter release button depressed. The built-in flash lets you light up the scene to catch every move of your subject, every time.

Features and Connectivity

The dust shield glass protects you Nikon 1 system devoid of dirt particles for crystal clear images. The 1 V1 includes shooting modes like still image, Smart Photo Selector, Movie and Motion Snapshot that let you use automatic settings to shoot in popular settings with ease. The Vibration Reduction feature of the lens compensates for unintentional tremors to deliver sharp images at every click of the shutter release button.

The face priority mode can identify faces in the frame and optimize settings to ensure they are in sharp focus, for memorable pictures. The Nikon V1 features a self-timer that lets you delay shutter release by 2, 5 or 10 seconds. Leave your camera on a stable and secure ledge with the self-timer on, and be assured to get blur-free images automatically. On Continuous Shooting mode, you can capture images at 5, 10, 30 or 60 frames per second and record every nuance and expression of your subject for magical creations.

The camera captures images in RAW and JPEG formats, which are easy to edit and to transfer between storage devices. The Type C mini-pin HDMI connector lets you play your images and videos on large screen HD ready televisions, while the high speed USB connector lets you transfer images from your camera directly to a computer or PC.
