NIKON S4000 Point & Shoot Camera  (Black)

Coolpix S4000 is a new 12 megapixel compact digital camera from Nikon. The camera has a 1/2.3-inch CCD sensor and supports aspect ratios of 4:3 and 16:9. This Nikon camera can shoot HD videos and comes with a wide-angle 4x optical zoom NIKKOR lens. The camera uses three image stabilization software: Electronic vibration reduction, Motion detection and Best shot selector to produce images without any blur.

Body

The Coolpix S4000 camera weighs 131 g and has dimension of 94.5 x 56.5 x 20.4 mm. The 3-inch TFT LCD has resolution of 460,000 dot pixels. The display is touchscreen and has anti-reflection coating. This Nikon Coolpix camera has internal memory of 45 MB and external memory can be added through SD and SDHC memory card. The S4000 comes with rechargeable Li-ion Battery EN-EL10, which can take 190 pictures in every charge.

The Nikon Coolpix S4000 compact digital camera comes with wide-angle 4x optical zoom NIKKOR lens and has focal length of 4.9 mm - 19.6 mm. This Coolpix camera has Aperture of F/3.2 - 5.9. The camera can zoom digitally and optically up to 4x. S400 has TTL Contrast Detection Auto Focus and has range of 50cm in Normal mode and 8cm in Macro mode. The sensitivity of the camera ranges from ISO 80 - 1600 (Auto) and ISO 80 - 3200. The built-in Flash has range of 49 cm - 2.4 m.

Features and Connectivity

The Coolpix S4000 camera has various scene modes such as Portrait, Landscape, Sports, Night portrait, Party/indoor, Beach/snow, Sunset, Dusk/dawn, Night landscape, Close-up, Food, Museum, Fireworks show, Copy, Backlight, Panorama assist and Draw. The camera also supports face recognition and self-timer of 2 or 10 seconds duration. The additional features of the S4000 include Blink Detection technology, Smile Detection technology, and Face-priority AF function.

The Nikon Coolpix S4000 camera can shoot videos at 720p (HD, 1280 x 720) resolution. The camera supports mono/wav file, AVI movie movie formats and Compressed - JPEG - EXIF image format. The S4000 compact digital camera can also shoot in Continuous Shot mode at 0.9 fps for up to 3 shots. Files can be transferred from the camera using USB 2.0.
