The mighty in-body 5-axis VR stabilisation is applied to the NIKKOR Z lens that you are using. With up to five stops of image stabilisation in up to five directions - yaw, pitch, roll, X and Y, you can get steadier shots. The Optical VR feature, combined with the Electronic VR (e-VR) feature, delivers stable shots during video recording.

The Nikon FT-Z adapter gives you the benefit of using your previous NIKKOR lenses too.

You can now shoot impeccable videos at 4K with 30 p (progressive) or Full HD Slow Motion at 120 fps.

The 493 on-sensor AF points cover up to 90% of the frame, approximately, horizontally as well as vertically. The subjects in the frame are tracked throughout the frame, keeping the focus on what is vital for you.

With the help of an AF algorithm that is optimised for its FX-format sensor, this DSLR camera automatically switches between the focal-plane phase-detect AF and contrast-detect AF to refine the focus. The light-shielding phase detection pixels are arranged, carefully, to preserve light, thereby ensuring accurate AF even when the light conditions are dim.

Whether you are shooting at an eye-level with the EVF or in the Live View with the LCD, the Auto Area AF seamlessly tracks your subject's face, even if it is in a crowd. The system keeps a tab on the upper body too, maintaining the focus position if your subject briefly turns away from the camera or moves out of the view.

Thanks to SnapBridge version 2.5, you can even use your compatible smartphone as a remote monitor and controller. You can touch the phone for better focus, adjust the settings like exposure mode, white balance and much more, and fire the shutter to click a great shot.

You can charge the EN-EL15b battery in the camera with a standard USB-C connection from a computer, wall outlet or other charging devices.

You can connect a Mac or a PC over a Wi-Fi connection to wirelessly transfer RAW, JPEG and movie files with the Wireless Transmitter Utility software.

You can now shoot up to 9 fps at full resolution (12-bit RAW or JPEG) with reduced shooting noise and without an external battery pack. You can switch to the Silent Mode for complete silence and shoot up to 8 fps with no mechanical noise.
