NOT RECOMMENDED
Cannot cover the lens caps when this is used. To cover the lens, the hood has to be removed. It has delicate plastic threads and cannot last the ware and tare.

A:This fits any lens with a 49mm thread.
From what I could find, the Sony 16-50mm Kit Lens has a 40.5mm thread length, so I don't think this product will fit.
