OPEN-Andre Agassi: A saga for Tennis Lovers

The book takes you through the crests ,the size of craters, and through troughs, the size of mountains, of Andre Agassi.
The book has interspersed emotions of the great player on and off the field. The pace of the book keeps you on the edge of your seat and you may even have to kiss your night's sleep a goodbye because it is, simply put, extremely interesting. One of the best books I have read in recent times. A MUST READ.

One of the best books ever.!!

This is one of the books which i have read multiple no of times.
The narration is absolutely brilliant. The journey of Agassi from a child prodigy to World No 1 then falling back to World No 141 and again working back his way to the Top is just wonderful.
Its a book not just for Tennis fans but it can be read by anyone interested in knowing a story of a successful person.

A Fascinating Journey

An awesome book by an awesome person. This book is really very well written and is very easy to understand. It gives an insight on how tough a sportsman's life can be. Many people think that the tennis starts might be leading a very comfortable life, but after reading this book you will realize how tough it is to earn the money and fame which the game offers. Not does Agassi sum up his sports career, he also helps us know his dad, mom, sis, friends, teachers, the academy, his crushes and not ...

One of the better sports biographies

A lot of sports biographies I have read across a gamut of sports are pretty bland and fail to enthuse the reader. This one is pleasantly different ... It is witty, honest (blatant at times) and crisp. It seamlessly takes u through the various phases of Andre's tennis stint ... starting as a 80s rebel to th2 2000s mature statesman of the game ... It's a no hold barred account and has some interesting anecdotes on his rollercoaster life, his relationship with Gil, his on-court rivalry with Samp...

Great insight into the life of a Tennis player

If you've grown up in the 80s and 90s and have been somewhat alive during that period you would have heard of Andre Agassi. If you followed Tennis, then you know him as one of the legends. Open is a great book not only to understand that behind every grand slam win there is a lot of hard work, but also because Agassi truly opens up about his life. He talks about his "hate" for tennis, his relationships, and how everything eventually made him the person he turned out to be. An spectacular insi...

A True Masterpiece!

What an amazing piece of work by Andre Agassi. Just like his tennis, his autobiography is sublime, crisp and honest. What makes this so wonderful is the fact that he is so candid with what he had to deal with his entire life. The book is akin to some of the happy ending flicks where he takes you through all the various vagaries of life only to emerge triumphant. The last part of the book where he talks about his school and family is truly heart wrenching. This book is definitely worth the buc...

Incredible Life, Incredible Book

I don't read autobiographies but this book was recommended by so many people that I had to read it and what an incredible book it is. I am not a tennis fan and barely know the game but this book is so much interesting, that you don't have to know the game to enjoy this book. I knew Andre Agassi was a great player but the book changed my perception about him and the game, in a positive way ofcourse. I strongly recommend this book for everyone.

Good Book!

Not being sports fan / autobiographies, I enjoyed this book thoroughly. Don't know how come I ordered it but was hooked on to the book right from starting. Cant write much about Andre Agassi since I havent followed tennis. All i was left with after finishing the book was "he is also HUMAN". And the way he has written the book it is stunningly good. Yes it is inspiring in its own way. Thank him for being so candid about himself, his inner self which is ever so conflicting. In the end, i was le...
