Extended Warranty is a one stop solution that covers functional/manufacturing issues for your Tablet. Now, you can just sit back and relax & we will take care of any problem occurring to your Appliance

Service Exclusions

- Customer should be using the appliance according to Manufacturing Guidelines. Any issue in the appliance that occurs due to non-adherence to Manufacturing Guideline will not be covered under this service agreement (Refer to the Terms and condition below).

How to claim?

- You are required to intimate about the loss to Jeeves within 15 business days of its occurrence beyond which the request is liable to be rejected.

- Plan ID will be shared with you on activation of the policy on your Email ID registered with Flipkart. Activation of policy happens post 24-48 hours post-delivery of your Tablet .

Congratulations on purchasing this protection Plan. Please read the terms and conditions, so that you understand the coverage under this Plan.

STANDARD TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  1. DEFINITIONS

    1. Manufacturing Guidelines: shall mean the user guidelines provided along with the product for the proper usage of the product.
    2. Plan(s): shall mean either or all of the products/ services package offered by Jeeves from time to time, which products/services may have add-on components or features, details of which are mentioned in the Welcome letter kit / Welcome email.
    3. Plan Fee: shall mean the fees charged by Jeeves for the Plan(s) availed by the Customer and set out in the respective Plan Terms. The Plan Fee is applicable for the respective duration of the plan as mentioned below. The Plan Fee is inclusive of all applicable taxes.
    4. Plan Terms: shall mean the terms and conditions separately provided with the Terms herein which shall be specifically applicable in relation to each Plan(s).
    5. Free Look-In Period: shall mean the number of days from the date of activation of the Plan(s) within which the Customer may cancel the Plan(s) and obtain a refund of the Plan Fee.
    6. Insurer: shall mean the third-party insurance provider as Jeeves may partner with from time to time for the add-on benefit as may be applicable to the various Plans.
    7. Service Partner: means any third-party service provider affiliated with Jeeves.
    8. Personal Information/Data: shall mean and include only a). Name b). Address and c.) Date of Birth of the customer.
  2. PURPOSE

    1. These terms and conditions (“Terms”) shall govern the transaction between Jeeves Consumer Service Private Limited (“Jeeves”) and the party whose name appears on the Order (“Customer”) in relation to the Plan(s) provided by Jeeves.
    2. These general terms and conditions define the framework and the respective obligations of the parties. Specific terms and conditions relating to the specific Plan(s) that has been availed or subscribed to by the Customer supplementing or derogating from these general terms and conditions may be agreed to in the Plan Terms in writing which shall be annexed to this Terms.
    3. Customer acknowledges the receipt of the Terms and the Plan Terms, as applicable and agrees to be fully bound by the Terms and the relevant Plan Terms. In the event, the Customer avails of any benefit under any of the Plan Terms or lodges a claim within the term of the Policy, the Customer shall be deemed to have accepted the Terms unconditionally.
  3. CUSTOMER CONSENTS AND CONFIRMATIONS

    1. Further, the Customer has and hereby consents to the use of the Personal Information (Name, Address and Date of Birth) by Jeeves for the purposes of providing the various services under the Plan(s) offered by Jeeves. Jeeves respects the privacy of the Customer and the confidentiality of Customer’s Personal Information so collected by Jeeves by itself or on its behalf and shall maintain its confidentiality, at all times.
    2. The Customer also hereby consents to the Personal Information being disclosed by Jeeves to any third party including any insurer, Service Partner of Jeeves who will be either providing the add-on benefit and/or services on each of the Plan(s) for the purposes of fulfilment of the services or if required by law. Jeeves shall share only the relevant portion of the customer information with the third party on need to know basis, necessary for providing services. Jeeves shall not share the Personal Information of the customers with any third party(ies) or shall use the same for cross selling any other product and/or services. These third parties shall comply with the confidentiality provisions and shall not use/transfer the same for any purposes other providing services to Jeeves.
    3. The Customer expressly and without limitation, consents to Jeeves or their service partners for recording phone calls between the Customer and Jeeves on the helpline numbers set out in the relevant Plan Terms in order for Jeeves to inter alia (i) provide a record of the instructions received from the Customer and to share the same with the Service Partners, if required, (ii) allow itself or its service partners to monitor quality standards, (iii) training purposes, and (iv) meet legal and regulatory requirements.
    4. The Customer hereby provides his/her consent to Jeeves for appointing agents to collect amounts payable to Jeeves, as may be considered necessary in the sole discretion of Jeeves and which shall be at the sole risk and cost of the Customer.
    5. The Customer acknowledges that Jeeves may engage third parties including Service Partners for the fulfilment of the services and the Customer hereby consents to Jeeves disclosing, to the extent relevant, the Customer’s Personal Information and/or details of Plan(s) availed by the Customer to inter alia (a) our affiliates Service Partners (b) to our suppliers, vendors, for the purposes of servicing the Customer.
    6. The Customer hereby consents to receiving period SMS / email communication from Jeeves of information pertaining to Extended Warranty Plan. Jeeves shall not contact the Customer(s) (neither offline nor online through call/SMS/email) for any purposes other than providing services related to the Plan Term opted by the Customer.
  4. TOTAL FEES/CHARGES

    1. The all-inclusive Plan Fee(s) for the respective Plan(s) shall be as more particularly set out in the Plan Terms.
    2. Activation of Jeeves Plan(s) is subject to realization/receipt of the Plan Fee.
  5. SERVICING OF CLAIMS

    1. The Customer acknowledges and understands that claim or payment of any benefit covered by an add-on extended warranty cover shall be governed by the Plan Terms and Jeeves shall be liable to provide the services to the Customer in accordance with the Plan Term and facilitation the same with the Jeeves and/ or their Insurer.
    2. Any claims made by the Customer under these Terms and Plan Terms shall be subject to the following:
  6. The Customer having met and complied with the Terms and the Plan Terms (as applicable). This also applies to terms and conditions set out herein;
  7. The Customer having provided Jeeves with full and accurate information in connection with the coverage, as applicable;
  8. The Customer having complied with the requirements of processing the claim may be required from time to time:
  9. Claim related details duly filled by the Customer; and
  10. Invoice copy
  11. Original Repair Invoice, any Govt issued identity proof to confirm Name, Address and Date of Birth
  12. Bank Account details, cancelled Cheque in case of monetary settlement

Notwithstanding anything contained hereinabove, Jeeves shall not be obliged to entertain any claim from the Customer unless (i) the Customer is over the age of 18 years and a resident of India.

  1. CANCELLATIONS/ RENEWAL/TERMINATION

    1. Jeeves will cancel the Terms and/or the Plan Terms if the Customer has at any time:
  2. agreed to help any third party to try to fraudulently or dishonestly obtain money from Jeeves; or
  3. is in violation of applicable law as may be relevant to the use of the Plan(s); or
  4. failed to meet the Terms and/or the Plan Terms

    1. If notice of termination is provided by the Customer within the Free Look-In Period, a full refund is available. However, if the Customer has lodged a claim or availed of any benefit under any of the Plan Terms at any time during the Free Look-In Period, no refund will be available. After the expiry of the Free Look-In Period, for any cancellation by the Customer, Jeeves will not refund the Plan Fee.

  1. CONFIDENTIALITY

    1. Jeeves shall ensure that the Personal Information of the Customer is kept confidential and not disclosed to any third party except to the extent required for fulfilment of services.
  2. REPRESENTATIONS AND WARRANTIES

    1. The Customer represents that he/she is completed the age of 18 years and is a resident of India.
    2. The Personal Information provided by the Customer for the purposes of availing of the Plan(s) is true and accurate, to the reasonable knowledge.
  3. OBLIGATIONS AND COVENANTS OF THE CUSTOMER

    1. If the Customer receives a benefit as contemplated under any specific Plan Terms and it is later discovered that the claim was dishonest, fraudulent or false, Jeeves will take steps to recover from the Customer, such payment(s) made to the Customer, either by Jeeves or a third party, as the case may be (in accordance with the applicable laws of limitations).
    2. The Customer undertakes that he/she shall strictly comply with the terms of usage contained in the Plan Terms in relation to the use of the Plan(s).
    3. The Customer undertakes and covenants that he/she shall not use / make use of the Plan(s) to or in the course of usage of the Plan(s), upload, display, publish, update, disseminate or transmit content or information that:

a) belongs to another person and to which the user does not have any right to or which is confidential;

b) is an impersonation of another person, grossly harmful, harassing, blasphemous defamatory, obscene, pornographic, paedophilic, libellous, invasive of another's privacy, hateful, or racially, ethnically objectionable, disparaging, relating or encouraging money laundering or gambling, or otherwise unlawful in any manner whatever;

c) harm minors in any way;

d) infringes any patent, trademark, copyright or other proprietary rights;

e) deceives or misleads the addressee about the origin of such messages or communicates any information which is grossly offensive or menacing in nature;

f) contains software viruses or any other computer code, files or programs designed to interrupt, destroy or limit the functionality of any computer resource; or

g) Threatens the unity, integrity, defense, security or sovereignty of India or seditious, friendly relations with foreign states, or public order or causes incitement to the commission of any cognizable offence or prevents investigation of any offence or is insulting to any other nation or violates any other provision of law.

    1. The Customer acknowledges, confirms and covenants that the object of the Plan(s) being availed of or provided by Jeeves is not an ‘insurance product’ but extended warranty is merely an add-on feature of the Plan(s) and that the Customer has availed of the Plan(s) in accordance with this understanding.
  1. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

    1. Jeeves shall not be liable for any incidental, consequential, exemplary, special or indirect damages (including, but not limited to, loss of profits, revenues, data and/or use). Jeeves disclaims all implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose. Jeeves’s total liability under the Terms and/or the relevant Plan Terms shall not exceed the purchase price(product selling price) of the insured product/Sum Insured.

  2. INDEMNITY

    1. The Customer hereby agrees to defend, indemnify and hold Jeeves and its officers, directors, employees and subcontractors harmless from any and all losses, damages, liabilities, verdicts, settlements, judgments, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) incurred by Jeeves or its officers or employees arising out of:
  3. any wrongful act or omission of the Customer in relation to the usage of the Plan(s);
  4. any wilful misconduct, gross negligence or fraud by the Customer;
  5. any failure of the Customer to comply with the applicable law;
  6. any breach of the representations, warranties, obligations and covenants of the Customer or a default of the Customer’s obligations; and
  7. any third-party claims arising out of the Customer’s use of the Plan(s).

    1. This indemnity will survive the termination of the Terms and/or the Plan Terms and is in addition to and not in substitution of the other remedies and rights that Jeeves may have, either at law in the Terms and/or the Plan Terms.
    2. Jeeves agrees to defend, indemnify and hold Customer harmless from any and all losses, damages, liabilities, verdicts, settlements, judgments, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) incurred by Jeeves or its officers or employees arising out of: a) any wrongful act or omission of Jeeves in relation the Plan(s); b) any wilful misconduct, gross negligence or fraud by Jeeves; c) any failure of Jeeves to comply with the applicable law; d) any breach of the representations, warranties, obligations and covenants of Jeeves or a default of the Jeeves’s obligations; and e) any third-party claims arising out of the Plan(s).
  8. NOTICES

    1. Any notice required under the Terms and/or the relevant Plan Terms must be in writing and must be either (a) delivered in person, (b) sent by first class registered mail, or air mail, as appropriate, or (c) sent by overnight courier, in each case properly posted and fully prepaid to the appropriate address set forth herein.

  1. MISCELLLANEOUS

    1. The Terms will inure to the benefit of the legal successors of Jeeves. Other than as stated above, no assignment of the Terms is possible.
    2. Jeeves will not incur any liability to the other party on account of any loss or damage resulting from any delay or failure to perform all or any part of these Terms if such delay or failure is caused, in whole or in part, by events, occurrences, or causes beyond the control and without negligence of the parties. Such events, occurrences, or causes will include, without limitation, acts of God, bandhs, riots, acts of war, natural disaster, fire and explosions, or any other events reasonably beyond the control of either party.
    3. The Terms along with the relevant Plan Terms constitutes the entire agreement between the parties with respect and in relation to the Plan (including any modification or amendment thereto) subscribed or availed of by the Customer and supersedes all previous communications, representations, understandings and agreements, either oral or written. Jeeves shall not amend the Terms and/or the Plan Terms and/or the features or pricing of the Plans post the purchase of the Plan(s) by the Customer.
    4. The Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of India.
    5. All disputes arising in connection with the Terms and/or the respective Plan Term(s) shall be finally settled by arbitration pursuant to the rules of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, by one arbitrator appointed mutually by the parties under dispute. The seat of arbitration shall be Mumbai. The language of the arbitration proceedings shall be English. The decision of the arbitrator shall be final and binding on the parties.

EXTENDED WARRANTY TERMS AND CONDITIONS

This “Extended Warranty for Tablet ", herein also after referred to as “Extended Warranty Plan” or “Extended Warranty” has been entered into between Jeeves Consumer Service Private Limited, herein after referred to as "Jeeves", incorporated under the Companies Act, 1956 and having CIN U93090MH2011PTC218163 and the name & address of the customer, herein referred to as “Customer”, mentioned in the application form. The terms & conditions of Extended Warranty shall be fully binding on the customer for the product/appliance/equipment covered, herein referred to as “Product”.

  1. GENERAL DEFINITIONS

    1. Product Covered: Includes Tablet sold via Flipkart Platform (www.flipkart.com; Flipkart mobile application and Flipkart Lite).
    2. Official Channel:,, Flipkart Platform (www.flipkart.com; Flipkart Mobile Application and Flipkart Lite), Jeeves official website & apps.
    3. Normal Operating Condition: Ability of the product to perform its specified function subject to the acceptable level of change in performance due to ageing or climatic conditions. The acceptable level of change for this purpose will be as per the respective Manufacturer’s specifications.
    4. Normal use: Use of the product in accordance with the Manufacturer’s guidelines for Product usages including but not limited to regular maintenance and upkeep of the Product, usage of specified protection device such as voltage stabilizer.
    5. Mechanical/ Electrical Breakdown: Means defect, the breaking or burning out (electrical) of any defined parts of the insured product arising from mechanical or electrical defect causing sudden stoppage of their functions, necessitating visit, repair or replacement.
    6. Covered Breakdown: Breakdown covered during the manufacturer’s warranty/ guarantee period. The covered breakdown will vary for each product in accordance with the manufacturer’s warranty/guarantee for the said period.
    7. Manufacturer’s Warranty/ Guarantee: The original warranty/ guarantee provided by the respective manufacturer to the respective product as per manufacturer’s warranty/ guarantee terms & conditions.
    8. Manufacturer’s Warranty/ Guarantee period: The uninterrupted period of the manufacturer’s warranty/ guarantee cover as stated on the original official manufacturer’s warranty/ guarantee certificate and publications.
    9. Extended Warranty: Extended Warranty shall be an extension of manufacturer’s warranty terms which will starts from the expiry of manufacturer’s warranty Service Contract Term: Mechanical and electrical breakdown to the extent provided by the manufacturer’s warranty for domestic electrical/electronic product manufactured in India or is legally imported in India and sold through official channel by an invoice and manufacturer’s warranty/Guarantee certificate. The Extended Warranty cover commences on the expiration of the manufacturer’s warranty/guarantee period and is for a period mentioned in the service contract details of the service contract, and shall continue to remain in force for a period as applicable, unless terminated earlier as per terms herein. This Contract and the terms and conditions herein shall continue to remain in force if due to any reasons, the original manufacturer replaces the Product of the Customer with the Product of the same model during the manufacturer’s warranty period subject to such information being shared by you with Jeeves on any such occasion.
    10. We, Us, Our: The issuer of Extended Warranty i.e. Jeeves
    11. You, Your: The person to whom We are issuing Our Extended Warranty
    12. “Electronic Data” means facts, concepts and information converted to a form usable for communications, interpretation or processing by electronic and electromechanical data processing or electronically controlled equipment and includes programmes, software and other coded instructions for the processing and manipulation of data or the direction and manipulation of such equipment.

In case of any conflict in the list of Brands covered under this document and the one displayed on Flipkart product page(s), the display on the Flipkart product pages shall be final and conclusive.

The above list is subject to change without any prior notice. Additions to and deletions from the list will be solely at our discretion.

  1. WHAT WE COVER

Following are the product features which Jeeves shall be offering under this program

    1. Extended Warranty support for 1 year or 2 years beyond expiry of manufacturing warranty (depending on the plan chosen by You. Extended Warranty replicates the manufacturer’s warranty against any malfunctions or breakdown for the duration as mentioned above. In consideration of the service contract fee paid by you, we will provide the cost of repair to rectify all issues of the product (including all costs) for the covered breakdown of your product as mentioned in the contract, during the period of extended warranty, subject to the terms and conditions, exceptions and limitation content herein or endorsed hereupon in future. Jeeves shall get the product repaired by itself or through its third-party service providers at no cost to customers. In the event Jeeves is unable to repair the product due to logistic issues, Jeeves shall have the discretion to compensate the Sum assured amount as a refund to the customer.. We will organize for the repairs to bring the covered appliance back to normal operating condition or provide monetary settlement at our sole discretion
    2. This contract covers the cost of parts and labour for the product on service basis. Cost of transportation is covered, if required, for transporting the unit to the service centre and back for repairs which are not technically advisable to be performed at your premises.
    3. No. of claims: Maximum liability for the program will be limited to the sum insured of the Extended Warranty Plan. (Multiple claims upto Sum Insured only).

    1. Beyond Economical Repair(BER) value : if the repair cost is more than below mentioned BER values at any point of time during the extended warranty of the program, claims will be considered under the BER and under the Jeeves sole direction will provide refund of the sum assured amount which is left.

    1. Overall benefit to the customer will be capped as per the remaining sum assured for each service feature, sum assured values at the purchase of policy will be as per below table:

For Example: If a customer claims an Extended warranty repair of value 20% of the purchase price(product selling price), Sum assured amounts will be reduced by 20%. Remaining sum assured to customers will be as below

  1. If repair is not possible, Customer will be entitled to get a refund capped as per remaining sum assured benefits at the time of the claim.
  2. In case of a refund, defective device shall be handed over by the customer to the service provider (as may have been appointed by Jeeves). The ownership of the defective product shall be transferred to Jeeves/service provider. All benefits of Extended warranty will cease to exist post hand over of defective device and refund to the customer.

    1. Remaining Sum Assured: at any point of time within EW Coverage Term, is the Sum Assured minus the sum of previous Claim amounts.
    2. Repair warranty: is a 30 day repair warranty (from the date of repair done under the EW) on the repairs done on the Covered Product under this EW under which in case of recurrence of the repaired issue, Jeeves will repair such issue free of cost.
    3. SLA: SLA (service level agreement) is defined as the total time elapsed between the pick-up of the Covered Product from the Service Address and the first attempt to deliver the repaired/replaced Covered Product to the Service Address.
  3. TERMS OF MONETARY SETTLEMENT

    1. if the repair cost is more than below mentioned BER values at any point of time during the extended warranty of the program, claims will be considered under the BER and under the Jeeves sole direction will provide refund of the sum assured amount which is left
    2. Settlement amount will be calculated on the balance sum insured
    3. If monetary settlement is being offered, it can be because of two reasons –
  4. The repair estimate is exceeding above mentioned table BER values %
  5. Spare parts are unavailable, reasons of which are beyond Jeeves ’s control

If we compensate you as above, all our obligations under this contract will be deemed fulfilled and there will no longer be any coverage under the plan.

  1. CONDITION OF COVER

    1. You must be at least 18 years old on the date of purchase of Extended Warranty.
    2. Extended Warranty applies only to newly items purchased Products on Flipkart Platform. There is no cover for items described as ‘used’, ‘second hand’ or ‘refurbished’.
    3. Plan should be purchased with appliances and activated within 60 days from the date of product purchase.
    4. Extended Warranty can be bought for all products outlined in the section “QUALIFYING PRODUCTS” that carry a minimum manufacturer’s warranty of 6 months on the entire unit.
    5. Extended Warranty will cover Extended Warranty, only to products that are purchased under valid Manufacturer’s warranty on Flipkart Platform. Any condition/act that voids the manufacturer’s warranty requirement (stated above) would result in product becoming ineligible for Extended Warranty.
    6. Extended Warranty can only be purchased for products that haven’t been repaired under manufacturer’s warranty or otherwise before purchase of the plan. We reserve the right to reject any claim under Extended Warranty if the product has been repaired prior to your purchasing the plan.
    7. Extended Warranty is applicable for a period of 12/ 24 months (1 year / 2 years) from the date of the expiry of brand warranty (depending on the plan chosen by You). The plan cover period is also mentioned in the email that will be sent to you post successful activation of your plan by you
    8. At point of service, during the Extended Warranty duration, the customer is required to show the proof of purchase i.e. Product purchase invoice.
    9. Jeeves reserves the right to deny service and cancel the Extended Warranty Plan, without any refund whatsoever, if Customer fails to produce the above information.
    10. Jeeves or its authorised service providers shall provide Services only during normal working hours on regular working days of Jeeves and/or its authorised service providers.
    11. Normal Working hours would be 09:30 AM to 6:00 PM, Mon to Sat* excluding public holidays
    12. To avail services, you must present to Jeeves at the time of execution of this Contract proof of purchase (a copy of the purchase invoice) of the product in question.
    13. Extended Warranty covers the cost of parts and labour charges at home location... Jeeves will transport the product to service centre for performing repairs, if required and if the product location is within its serviceable area.
    14. Providing service at locations which are not in the serviceable limit of Jeeves: Jeeves reserves the right to provide adequate solution by Refund the sum assured amount at the sole discretion of Jeeves.During the validity of the Extended Warranty, Jeeves will attend to the defects reported by the customer, including replacement of the defective electrical/electronic components that are required to be replaced to make the product electrically functional. This is subject to the condition, the breakdown of the product being due to normal usage, i.e. all manufacturer warranty usage guidelines have been followed.
    15. In case the damage/malfunction of the device is due to reasons other than that covered under manufacturer’s warranty and the and Terms of the Plan(s), or it is caused by conditions defined under exclusions, Jeeves shall not offer to repair the device for the customer. The cost of such repairs like labour, visit, cost of parts replaced, cost of transporting the device to service centre (if required) will have to be borne by the Customer.
    16. All defective components replaced by Jeeves shall become the property of Jeeves and the customer shall not have any rights to the same.
    17. All defective components will be replaced with parts which are new or like new in performance adhering to manufacturer’s specifications, at our sole discretion.

    19. In case we offer the refund the sum assured value, all our obligations under this contract are deemed fulfilled and the plan coverage stands terminated. The defective product in all such cases shall become our property and the same should not be destroyed, or damaged, or salvaged by the you under any circumstances.
  2. CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITY

    1. You will be required to provide us with a copy of the complete set of requisite documents at the time of service request. If the Serial Number of the device has changed due to repairs or replacement by the manufacturer/retailer, please provide us with a copy of the Swap Letter that clearly mentions the current and old Serial Number of the device within 15 days of such replacement.
    2. You are required to report the problem to Jeeves within 21 calendar days of its occurrence beyond which the request is liable to be rejected.
    3. It is your responsibility to properly maintain, store and use your item according to the manufacturer instructions and take all reasonable steps to use your equipment as prescribed by the manufacturer.
    4. You agree to return the defective spares or product to Jeeves’s personnel from the place of repair of the product. In all such cases, Jeeves shall pick up the defective spares/ product (in case of total loss)
    5. NON-FULFILMENT of ANY of the above conditions may result in the plan being considered as void and all requests made against Extended Warranty are liable to be rejected.
    6. Customer shall register all complaints/requests for Services only through official Jeeves Call Centre’s/email /Jeeves website (whenever ready).
    7. Customer shall comply with all applicable laws, rules and regulations.
    8. Customer shall inform Jeeves any change in the billing address.
    9. EW is applicable on Your address of purchase of the Covered Product, or in case of change in such address, only if such address is serviceable, as confirmed by Jeeves (" Service Address").
    10. Product is only serviceable when used in the location as per the address given by the Customer to Jeeves or on addresses serviceable under Tablet EW program. Address change, if any should be notified with 7 days by the customer by calling Jeeves customer support at 080- 69290888 or 080-45471077
    11. Any written communication, billing statement or notice from Jeeves to Customer will be deemed as served within 48 hours of posting by ordinary mail or earlier as the case may be.
    12. Customer agrees that it shall be its responsibility to be aware of the Contract and the changes therein. Ignorance if any shall be the total responsibility of the Customer.
    13. The Customer understands that the Services have been subscribed on his/her own name and the subscription/ ownership can’t be changed to any other name. In the event of gifting/transfer of the Product, where it has been transferred by Customer to any other person. The Plan shall be transferred to the new owner along with the transfer of ownership of the product. The Customer needs to notify Jeeves of such transfer within one month (30 days) of purchase of the product and/or Plan. Jeeves shall be responsible to make the necessary changes in its records to give effect to such transfer and extend the benefits of the Plan to the new owner from the date of such communication.
    14. Customer shall not assign any right or interest or delegate any obligation arising herein to any person without Jeeves's prior written consent.
  3. EXCLUSIONS APPLICABLE UNDER THE CONTRACT

    1. Any problems or defects not covered by manufacturer’s warranty and coverage provided under this Plan Term.
    2. Service of products which are not supported by valid Proof of Purchase by customer shall not be admissible under the policy.
    3. Non-operating and cosmetic damage to the Product, such as damage to paintwork, Product finish, dents or scratches.
    4. Accessories
    5. Normal wear and tear items, not integral or necessary to the functioning of the products or routine service, or if the wear and tear on the parts.
    6. Lubrication, adjustments or alignments, overhaul, modifications and descaling
    7. Repair of the product due to non-adherence to manufacturing guidelines on usage of appliance.
    8. Fire resulting from power surges or drips or lightning.
    9. Damage caused by unauthorised modification, alteration, adjustment, repair, service or installation by unauthorised personnel is not covered. Such unauthorised repair or replacement of covered products shall result in the cancellation of this insured unit.
    10. Damage caused by unauthorized repair, theft, burglary and accident including earthquake, storm and or hurricane, abuse, misuse, sand, dust, water, negligence, fire, flood, lightning leading to fire, malicious damage, impact, corrosion, battery leakage, acts of god, animal or insect infestation or intrusion.
    11. Problems or defects caused by unauthorized modifications/repairs or failure to follow the manufacturer’s operating manual and as specified in the warranty card.
    12. Any Incidental Costs arising from being unable to use the Product or from damage which results from the Breakdown of the Product.
    13. Damage/failure caused before or during Transportation or Product delivery.
    14. Service of product on which the Manufacturer’s label or logo or Serial number have been defaced or removed.
    15. Claims that is false or fraudulent or intentionally exaggerated or if any false declarations or statements be made in support thereof, no claim for that insured unit shall be recoverable hereunder.
    16. Use of accessories not approved by the manufacturer, incorrect electrical leads or connection.
    17. Failure due to physical damages, improper site conditions, rain or weather conditions, and liquid spillage.
    18. Commercial usage of appliances
    19. Damage/failure caused before or during product delivery.
    20. Any consequential or incidental damages arising from the use or loss of use of the Product.
    21. Physical or accidental damage of any kind that causes internal or external components of Covered Product to malfunction.
  4. JEEVES SERVICE ASSURANCE FOR QUALIFYING BRANDS

    1. The promised SLA of Jeeves under these Terms and Conditions are subject to restrictions based on local, State and Central Government's notification on operation of the Jeeves from time to time and unavoidable circumstances, force majeure events and in other emergencies. You agree and confirm that Jeeves shall not be liable for any breach of the SLA arising out of such local, State and Central Government's restrictions on movement, lockdowns, unavoidable circumstances, force majeure events and in other emergencies.
    2. The SLA period for Jeeves under these Terms and Conditions shall be calculated from the day lockdown/restrictions are lifted or the emergency ends at the respective locations.
    3. At times, unforeseen events disrupt the supply of spare parts for an extended period of time, or manufacturing brands, at times, are unable to provide spare parts due unforeseen circumstances in their operations. While Jeeves will make all efforts to provide a resolution in the committed timelines, the Service Timeline will not apply when spare parts supply is disrupted due to events over which Jeeves has no control, especially when those events disrupt global supply chains. However, Jeeves shall inform you of any such delay and provide you confirmation from the brands or its authorized representatives on the delay.
    4. In case of a refund option (under the sole discretion of Jeeves) provided to You, you respond immediately on the telephone call with the Jeeves team whether to go ahead with the refund or return the unrepaired Covered Product. Any delay in response will extend the SLA by the delayed period.
    5. In the event of your product requiring repair, Jeeves will undertake to get your product repaired.
    6. Subject to the other terms and conditions mentioned in this document, Jeeves provides committed timelines for repairs of products. Promised turnaround time of 15 business days from product pickup date to first attempt of delivery
    7. At times, unforeseen events disrupt the supply of spare parts for an extended period of time, or manufacturing brands at times are unable to provide spare parts due unforeseen circumstances in their operations. While Jeeves will make all efforts to provide a resolution in the committed timelines, the Service Timeline will not apply when spare parts supply is disrupted due to events over which Jeeves has no control especially when those events disrupt global supply chains. However, Jeeves shall inform you of any such delay and provide you confirmation from the brands or its authorized representatives on the delay.
    8. Remote controls are explicitly not covered under Extended Warranty.

  1. CHARGES AND PAYMENT

    1. For Services to be provided by Jeeves for repair/replacement necessitated by non-covered breakdowns, Customer shall forthwith make payments towards cash receipt or invoice raised by Jeeves or its Authorized representative.
    2. Charges payable by the Customer are exclusive of taxes, duties or levies unless expressly stated to the contrary.
    3. If due to any reasons the Product is replaced by the original manufacturer with a Product of different size /capacity/model/brand but of the same product category, Customer shall be responsible to make payment of differential amounts to Jeeves for increase in the charges due to change in the Products/Equipment.
    4. Jeeves shall however, not be responsible for refunding any money to the Customer if replacement of the Product/Equipment by the original manufacturer with a Product/Equipment of different size/capacity/model/brand but of the same product category leads to reduction in the charges for Services.
    5. Charges payable for accessories used for Re-installation, will have to be borne by the customer.
  2. GOVERNING LAW& JURISDICTION

    1. The validity, construction and performances of terms herein shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India,
    2. The parties hereto unconditionally and irrevocably agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent Courts in Mumbai with regard to any matter or dispute arising hereto or any other documents that may be executed by the parties hereto.
  3. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

    1. Jeeves shall not be liable to the customer for any damages resulting from or related to any services performed by Jeeves hereunder, including, but not limited to, any loss of data or software, inability of Jeeves to correct any errors, malfunctions and defects in the product/equipment/hardware/software delay of Jeeves in performing any services hereunder.
    2. In no event, shall Jeeves be liable to the customer for any indirect, special, or consequential damages or lost profits arising out of or related to services provided by the Jeeves under this contract, even if Jeeves has been advised of the possibility thereof, or knew or should have known thereof.
    3. The maximum liability of Jeeves for each incidence shall not be greater than the invoice value of the appliance in any case whatsoever.
  4. TERMINATION

    1. In addition to the typical termination that exists in Jeeves Extended Warranty T&C, the Plan will be terminated in the following scenarios:
  5. At the closing hours of the coverage end date (11:59:59 pm).
  6. We offer you a monetary settlement in lieu of the same.

Whichever happens earlier.

  1. CLAIM PROCESS

In the event of a claim request under the EW, You are required to do the following:

  1. Intimate Jeeves about the defect and the corresponding issue at 080- 69290888 or 080-45471077 . You may be asked to submit additional documents and other relevant information on a case-to-case basis for processing claims.and provide other relevant information required by Jeeves .
  2. While processing the extended warranty claim, if at any time, Jeeves determines that there has been any misrepresentation, wrongful description, fraudulent activity or non-disclosure of any material fact significant to the extended warranty Claim, then all benefits under this Program. The Program will automatically stand terminated vis-a-vis the Covered Product.
  3. If Jeeves, at its sole discretion, considers that EW is applicable on the claim request( such approved/ accepted claim request referred to as "Claim"), Jeeves will attempt to resolve the issue over a telephone call.
  4. In case the defect is not resolved and upon receipt of email from protect@jeeves.co.in, share documents (i.e. IMEI number of the Covered Product, valid identity proof issued by the Government of India and images of the Covered Product) as required and communicated by Jeeves within 72 hours from receipt of email in order to further process the Claim. If the IMEI/Serial Number of the Covered Product has changed as a result of repairs or product exchange by the manufacturer, You will provide Jeeves with the relevant documentation clearly indicating the old and new IMEI/Serial Number along with the date and reason for the change in the IMEI/Serial Number.
  5. Only upon receipt of required documents, Jeeves will arrange and allocate door-step pickup service from the Service Address.
  6. you shall pack the Covered Product and keep the Covered Product ready for door step repair or pickup as per the instructions provided to You over your registered email Id and mobile number. Your device will be picked within 72 hours of pick-up allocation.
  7. Jeeves partner will pick up the packed Covered Product from the Service Address and ship it to Jeeves' authorized repair center for either repair as determined by Jeeves at its sole discretion depending on the factors including, but not limited to, cost of repair, availability of spares and time to serve.
  8. In case, Jeeves decides to offer a refund option (under the sole discretion of Jeeves) of the Covered Product, You will be provided the choice to either opt for refund or get back an unrepaired Covered Product. If You opt to get back the unrepaired Covered Product, Your Covered Product will be delivered within the 10-15 business days SLA to your Service Address.
  9. While processing the Claim, if at any time, Jeeves determines that there has been any misrepresentation, wrongful description or non-disclosure of any material fact significant to the Claim, then all benefits under this EW shall be forfeited and stand cancelled vis-à-vis the Covered Product.
  10. Once the Covered Product is repaired, Jeeves' logistics partners will have the Covered Product shipped back to Your Service Address.

    1. Notice of Claim:

The Customer must do the following: -

  1. Inform Jeeves within 21 days of discovering the issue.
  2. Any delay in such claim reporting may be condoned by the Jeeves and /or their g on merit, if the delay is proved by the customer to be for reasons beyond his/her control.
  3. Beneficiary to submit all documents within 7 days from date of notification of the incident to Jeeves

Jeeves to verify claims within two days of receipt of all documents from beneficiary5. Cooperate with the Surveyor/Investigator if appointed.

  1. The Customer shall produce for Jeeves t an examination all pertinent documents at such reasonable times and shall co-operate with Jeeves in all matters pertaining to any Claims. Failure to comply with this condition may prejudice the Claim. Filing a false or a fraudulent Claim will invalidate the Claim and result in Jeeves and / or their insurer rejecting the Claim and any other action deemed fit.
  2. MISCELLANEOUS

    1. The marketing brochures are meant purely for educating customers about the features and terms of Extended Warranty and they have no commercial value.
    2. This Agreement is the complete and exclusive agreement between issuer of Extended Warranty i.e. Jeeves Consumer Service Private Limited and Customer relating to the subject matter hereof. Any statements or representations made by resellers, ASPs or others that are inconsistent with this Agreement shall not be binding upon us.
    3. The customer releases and holds harmless Flipkart and Jeeves Consumer Service Private Limited, its agents, affiliates, and employees from and against any claims, damages, or liability of any kind, including personal injuries, death, or property damage, or any direct, indirect, consequential, incidental or other damages, which the Customer or anyone else may suffer as a result of participation in the Jeeves Extended Warranty Plan.
    4. The customer agrees that his contact details can be shared by Flipkart with Jeeves Consumer Service Private Limited. Flipkart Order ID and contact details of the Customer will be shared by Flipkart with Jeeves for verification purposes. The usage of personal data is subject to Jeeves Consumer Service Private Limited’s privacy policy and Flipkart's privacy policy here: http://www.flipkart.com/s/privacypolicy.
    5. Flipkart hereby excludes and disclaims all liabilities, whether direct or indirect, that may arise due to the Jeeves Extended Warranty. The customer shall contact Jeeves for any disputes/issues related to the Jeeves Extended Warranty and Flipkart shall not be held liable for any such disputes/issues. Further, the Customer agrees that for any defects regarding the covered product, the Customer shall have a direct recourse against the seller of the Product and Flipkart shall not be held liable.
    6. Jeeves Consumer Service Private Limited shall be solely responsible for fulfilling the terms of this Jeeves Extended Warranty. Flipkart shall not be liable for any loss, injury or any other liability arising to the customers as a result of the Jeeves Consumer Service Private Limited failure to honour its obligations with respect to the customer.
    7. By entering into this Jeeves Extended Warranty, the customer agree to indemnify and keep Flipkart harmless against all damages, liabilities, costs, expenses, claims, suits and proceedings (including reasonable attorney's fees) that may be suffered by Flipkart as a consequence of (i) violation of the terms of this Policy by the customer; (ii) violation of applicable laws; (iii) any action or inaction resulting in wilful misconduct or negligence on the Customer’s part.
    8. Flipkart shall not be liable for correctness, validity and completeness of any information provided by the customers. Flipkart shall not be responsible if any information has intentionally been withheld or incorrect information or misrepresentations have been intentionally given by the customers that are of significance to the assessment of the claim.
    9. the event that the operation, security, or administration of the Product is impaired in any way for any reason, including, but not limited to fraud, virus, or other technical problem, Jeeves may, in its sole discretion, either: (a) cancel the Product; (b) suspend the Product to address the impairment and then resume the Product in a manner that best conforms to the spirit of these laws.
    10. By entering into this Product, the customer agree to indemnify and keep Flipkart harmless against all damages, liabilities, costs, expenses, claims, suits and proceedings (including reasonable attorney's fees) that may be suffered by Flipkart as a consequence of (i) violation of the terms of this Policy by the customer; (ii) violation of applicable laws; (iii) any action or inaction resulting in willful misconduct or negligence on the Customer's part.
    11. The Customer is required to note that this Plan will not be available in case the Product is getting exchanged during any exchange offer being run on Flipkart Platform.However, the Customer can purchase a new Plan separately for the new Product being purchased during any such exchange offer, and the terms and conditions shall be the entire terms and conditions as mentioned therein under the new Plan.
    12. Subject to the above, all the terms and conditions of the Product as given hereof and standard terms and conditions, user agreement, privacy policy (subject to change) of Flipkart Platform shall be applicable on the Customer.

Special Terms and Condition

    • Manufacturer’s Warranty to begin on the date of purchase of the Covered Product as mentioned on the Invoice.
    • Issuance of the policies will be applicable only on the products purchased from Flipkart's website/application
    • Extended warranty will cover the appliances that are covered by Manufacturer’s warranty of 1 or 2 years
    • Extended warranty coverage will incept after the expiry of Manufacturing Warranty
    • Standalone EW can be offered within 11 months from the date of purchase. This will be applicable for both online and technician assisted sales.
    • Total claim amount shall not exceed the Invoice value.
    • For Total loss, If Customer receives repairs or replacements up to the Sum Insured for the product covered, or receive a replacement Product of equal functionality and features, coverage will immediately cease.
    • Remaining Sum Insured at any point of time is the Sum insured minus the sum of previous claim amounts. This is applicable for all the plans.
    • Salvage amount deduction as per below table when the repair cost is more than sum assured in case of monetary settlement.
    • Customers should approach Jeeves within 24 hours of device delivery for any in-transit damage or new issues faced post-delivery
    • In case of part payment, time period between the time of intimation about the part payment to the customer and the time till the payment is paid by the customer is excluded from the Service Level Agreement
