1. Easily replaced 40W tube light or CFL.

Cons:
1. So bright, you can't look at it when it glows.
2. Life period is unknown as it has less history.

Better replacement for Tube lights
Instead of having this lamp on the side of the wall if you place it on center of the hall ceiling, the hall would be evenly brighter on all corners.
