Product Description

The Philips FC 8800 Robotic Floor Cleaner is what you need to clean the most inaccessible areas in your homes. The slim design of the robot cleaner fits into places where dust and dirt get collected and cleans these areas effortlessly.

Design

Its slim design of 50mm allows you to reach out to places that cannot be easily reached.The infrared sensors at the bottom of the cleaner help it move by itself and avoid stairs and edges.

Operation And Usage

The cleaner comes with extra long side brushes which go deep into corners and clean along walls. The cleaner has a two-stage cleaning system. First, these brushes, along with the vacuum, remove dirt and dust. Then, the finer particles of dust are trapped in the exhaust filter.

Power

The battery type that is used by the cleaner is a 14.4V NiMH/800 mAh. It takes 4 hours of charging time and gives you 50 minutes of running time. It has a standby power consumption of 0.7 watts.

Accessories And Special Features

The cleaner comes with an extra filter, AC power adapter and a pair of side brushes. It has three battery level indicator buttons- battery indicator, dust compartment indicator and warning indicator, in case your cleaner gets stuck.

Works better than expected

A cute product that I bought just for the novelty factor. Turns out it cleans really well too! If I could ask for something more, I would wish for a longer lasting battery. Charging is not much of a hassle though. Is able to clean corners, and reach under beds, sofas, tables etc thus cleaning out everything that the maid cant. High on entertainment value as well - its fun to watch it bump into walls, reverse and change directions. Sometimes you feel sorry for the guy when it is trying to find...

Great Product

Hi. I was planning to buy a vacuum cleaner. Have a one BHK studio in Gurgaon, and wanted some sleek machine which can clean in corners. The Robotics from Philips is sleek, pretty looking and also powerful.
I don’t need to now rely on the domestic help which is anyways so rare in a city like Gurgaon. super value for money. You can rely completely on the quality of Philips.

Amazing product from Philips

I have bought this product a month back and i am really happy with its performance. It is extremely handy to use and it serves its utility very well. this is my 2nd instance of using a robotic vacuum cleaner, the 1st one i had was for milangrow but ths is far far superior than that model. if i am not wrong it is slimmest robotic vacuum cleaner which i could see in online across various websites.

The pros of this models would be as below

No more maids

This vacuum cleaner has eliminated the need for a maid to clean the house for me. Being a bachelor living in Bangalore, maintaining a maid for cleaning the house was a big headache for me. With this vacuum, I can switch it on and leave it to clean the house while I go to office - it is as easy as that. Really happy with it. Wish there was something similar for other household chores as well

I think this is nice. Pretty compact and very much n vogue, but i believe Panasonic offers a better cleaner at the same price range which my Bhua is using from a long time. Any ways if my wife agrees i am going to bring in the Viera on the discount offer for diwali by Panasonic. !!!

Slick!

As the title says, it is a slick product. I usually just shut it inside a room and after an hour or so its work is done. I was surprised to see the amount of dust it is able to collect - more than any maid is able to clean. After using it for the first time, I noticed a shine on the floor that I hadn't seen earlier.

All in all very happy with the product

Nice product

I got this product just to test if it works. Yeah it really works. I cleans far better than maid. I never thought that it can gather more dust after maid had cleaned house. On day 1, I had to clear the dust collecting compartment 4 times. I wish it has more capacity. For me it is worth money.
The only con is has to be charged manually compared to other products of this type.

Works as expected

I was skeptical of such devices until I saw one in action abroad. Unfortunately that brand is not available, so this was the next best thing.

Pros:

The low height lets it get in under most furniture and the brushes bring out the worst dust bunnies you can imagine. The maid is genuinely concerned that she'll be replaced by this machine. If it mopped as well, then yes, the maid has a problem.

Cons:

Doesn't have a room mapping algorithm as far as I can tell. It has a weird pattern to deter...
