does what it claims...havent tried it in the pool yet....quick tip: if you are using it in a dry location like Bangalore wetting the contacts on the band will make it work fine again...did not find this to be an issue in a humid location like mumbai....

I would strongly recommend not to buy Polar FT2 Heart Rate Monitor. The product have multiple issues. The Bluetooth connectivity from heart rate sensor and monitor (wrist watch) is extremely inconsistent. Secondly the quality of the chest strap is very poor. It lost the elasticity within 3 months!

The most frustrating part is Flipkart doesn't have the support number of Polar to raise our issues and get the replacement of the product.
