Process Heat Transfer is a classic textbook, unique in the sense that it uses the methods and language of industries while explaining concepts. The subject matter of the book is derived from a course taught for a number of years at the Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn.
The practical aspects of theory have been emphasized throughout the text, but the author has still intended for them to serve only as a supplement to the core fundamental theory of process heat transfer. Empirical calculation methods, previously absent in engineering literature, have been included in the text, so that students and practising engineers are acquainted with the numerous process heat transfer tools used in industries. However, fundamental theory has not been compromised in any way.
