    Dressing gowns are one of those pieces of garments that give you a chance to enjoy total freedom of movement. The trend of using dressing gowns originates from the 18th century or early Victorian Era.

Cotton robes are perfect for hot humid climates because cotton tends to absorb perspiration easily.


    Silk: Dressing gowns made of this fabric are popular because of their look and feel, but can be relatively expensive especially if the silk used to make the gown is of high quality. Silk robes are lightweight and are not preferred to be used in wet situations as they simply are not as absorbent as cotton. Silk dressing gowns are more of a traditional choice and are not worn after bathing.


    Microfiber: Microfiber is a type of fibre that is extremely fine in texture. It is typically made of cellulose or polyester and can be woven into textiles to mimic natural-fibre cloth. These days microfibers are developed to deliver maximum breathability and water absorption. Adidas Climacool is an example of a garment using this material for its breathability and water absorption. Robes made out of microfiber are light in weight and are very soft to the touch.
