A five star effort, indeed

Karkra`s Rani Padmini is a highly interesting read. It is not just that he has painstakingly rummaged through countless pages of so many medieval Persian, Arabic, Sanskrit and Hindi texts. His sharp analytic mind has been able to recover messages hidden between the lines to place before us credible evidence that the celebrated queen did, in fact, live in flesh and blood in this land. A five star effort, indeed.

More appropriate title should have been, "Padmini--Our national heroine".

An excellent effort to fish out truth about the celebrated queen from the folds of history. It is nice to know that our national heroine did live amongst us in flesh and blood, which she put on the pyre to save her honour.
