Synopsis and Features
The first part in the Ratchet and Clank series takes you to the Solana Galaxy where Supreme Executive Chairman Drek is taking pieces from different planets to make one of his own. If this happens it’ll trigger a catastrophe of epic proportions that’ll result in thousands of people killed. Trying to stop Chairman Drek in his attempt to build a new planet, you, assuming the role of Ratchet and Clank, must stop him at all costs.
In the sequel to Ratchet and Clank, Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando, you are hired by Abercrombie Fizzwidget to retrieve back an experiment that was stolen by the smugglers. The mission seems simple, but there are many hidden secrets. As you trace the clues back to the smugglers, you get to know that whatever you have learned about your employer is wrong. Trying to find the real motive behind the disappearance of the prized experiment, you must stop everyone who wants to take advantage of the experiment.
In Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal, you try to defeat a robotic villain named Dr. Nefarious: a devious creature who wants to destroy all the organic life he comes in contact with. As you trace the last known whereabouts of the villain, you learn that the mystery runs deep and there many more people involved in the evil plan. Trying to stop them all, you must think of a brilliant plan to outsmart all your enemies.
Developed by Insomniac Games with additional help from Idol Minds and published by Sony Computer Entertainment, Ratchet & Clank Trilogy has plenty of innovative features to keep you glued to your TV screens for hours. The single-player modes are fun as you get a new weapon with level you successfully complete. You can kill as many enemies as you want as the second part in the series has 22 weapons. The games provide plenty of fun as there are more than 40 levels to explore in the games.
As you progress along the games you can kill enemies to earn an in-game currency called bolts. You can also smash things around the arena to earn bolts. Using these, you can upgrade your weapons armor points and many others things. You can upgrade your favourite weapon much faster by using it on your enemies. The more you use, the better it becomes. If you are a fan of 3D then you are in for a treat as you can play the game in 3D. This enhances the graphics to a new level as you can enjoy life-like visuals every time you play the game.
Throughout the 3 games you will be playing as Ratchet, but some levels in the 3rd part of the series allow you to play as Clank. Playing as Clank allows you to control mini robots named Gadgebots that perform different tasks, making it easy for you to solve puzzles. If you like teaming up with friends and playing games you can do it in Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal as it supports online multiplayer. Up to 8 players can play at one time and wreak havoc across the Ratchet & Clank universe. There are various modes available to play such as Deathmatch, Capture The Flag, and Siege.
