Body

The Roccat Pyra has a sleek and stylish build. The Pyra has a compact body and is equipped with rubber side grips made from Roccat Griptech technology. This gives the mouse good grip and provides comfort even during extended sessions of gaming. The mouse wheel available on the Pyra is wide, allowing you to play comfortably during intense gaming matches. The Roccat has 5 buttons in total. These include the usual left- and right-click buttons along with a scroll wheel. 1 button is placed on either side of mouse.

Keeping portability in mind, the Roccat Pyra has been designed for notebook and laptop users. Weighing 90 g, the Pyra comes in dimensions of 60 X 95 mm in width and length, respectively. You can easily connect the mouse to your computer through an unused USB port. The mouse is designed in such a way that it can be used by both left-handed as well as right-handed users.

Performance

The buttons available on the Roccat are independently programmable. The Pyra has a feature called the Easy-Shift[+] button duplicator. This feature allows you to allocate dual assignment to any button on the mouse, including the scroll wheel. The assigned Easy-Shift button acts like a quick shift button. This is helpful during meetings and presentations where you can shift between different windows, effortlessly.

The Easy-Shift[+] button is also helpful in gaming as in some games you have to hold down the shift button to run faster. Assigning the shift command to a mouse key allows you to concentrate better in the game, without getting distracted. The mouse comes with a 1600 dpi. The wide dpi gives the Pyra speed and quicker movement.

Equipped with 1000 Hz polling, the Roccat gaming mouse is capable of providing you with a 1 ms response time. This is very helpful during RTS games as you have to assign commands in sync with your thoughts. The mouse can be used on almost any surface. You can customize the mouse settings as the Roccat Pyra allows you to create up to 5 profiles. Settings like DPI and sensor sensitivity level can be personally set for each profile, making the mouse a versatile product.
