Description

When you have a passion to achieve greatness, how far would you be willing to go in order to? Directed and written by Imtiaz Ali and starring Ranbir Kapoor, Nargis Fakhri, and Shammi Kapoor, Rockstar is a Hindi musical film that follows a man named Janardhan Jakhar who doesn’t like the fact that he hasn’t experienced true pain in life while the great musicians of yesteryears have. Hence, he sets out to have his heart broken by falling in love with a beautiful girl who studies in Delhi University. Having won 5 Filmfare Awards, this film sees Janardhan Jakhar’s rise to stardom and the many struggles that he has to face in order to become a rockstar.

Imtiaz ali at his best

The film has surely taken Ranbir kapoor's career to a whole new level,the film has done similar to the career of Ranbir what kaminey did to the career of Shahid kapoor.....Imtiaz ali has done a brilliant job with the story and the screenplay and as always he saves the best song of the album for the climax.The mallish scene of Piyush Mishra was undoubtedly one of the best scene of 2011........all in all one must this movie in their personal collection

Ranbir at his best!

When 4 super talented personalities work in unison- A.R.Rehman, Imtiaz Ali, Ranbir Kapoor and Mohit Chauhan, a film like Rockstar is created.
This film has something in it which you take with yourself when you leave the cinema hall, something very peculiar that haunts you for many days (or in my case- months!) You keep thinking about the movie...
An exemplary director, Imtiaz Ali has extracted the best out of Ranbir Kapoor which no other director has achieved so far.

Best film!

Truly a wonderful movie! Thanks to Ranbir Kapoor's brilliant acting, Imtaiz's great direction and AR Rehman's best music! It remains on my mind for atleast 2 days of watching it! What more can I say about it! Buy it if you watched it at Theaters! A masterpiece by Ranbir, Imtiaz and Rehman! 5 stars from my side!

Intense Love Story

A love story so intense that it will take time for you to realise what exactly happened. it will linger on in your mind for days. A love story which has a soothing effect on your senses. Ranbit Kapoor has finally displayed his acting skills. The songs are not hummable but they blend-in on screen so well that you feel like listening to them even after the movie is over.

DVD has no 'compulsory-watch' trailers

2 dvd pack. Nice packaging. And the best part; no complusory watching of trailers when you pop-in the dvd. They are given as a seperate chapter in the dvd. Thank Imtiaz or whoever is responsible for that.

The making dvd has some really really awesome content in it. Must watch for all the Rockstar fans.

One among my favorites Collection

Rockstar was awesome. I had been waiting for the DVD since 11/11/11, after i saw it in the theater. Kudos to Ranbir bhai and music maestro A. R Rahman who made this film a rocking experience. And wonderfully pictured by Imtiaz Ali.
"Beyond all wrong doing and right doing, there is a field, I'll meet you there. " What a way to end this movie with this amazing line. This will definitely be one of my favorite movies in my life.

the things which are not mentioned are:

pros:
picture is great.
audio too. a DD 5.1(448kbps)& DD2.0(forgot the bit rate) and a commentary track.
over 2 hours of special features in a separate dual layer DVD.
packaging is unique.

FREE poster included.

cons:

a DTS 5.1 (768 kbps) soundtrack should have been there.
apart from the songs the surround sound mixing isn't noteworthy.
only eng and arabic subtitles are there.
