I didn’t buy this SSD from Flipkart, got through my friend from Japan.

I am using this SSD as boot drive with SATA 1 (1.5 Gbps) old Pentium 4 CPU 3GHz/915GAV motherboard/2GB DDR RAM. Actual capability of this drive is SATA3 (6 Gbps).

Cloning of the existing drive using Samsung Data Migration software was painless and it took around 30 Mins. (You need to connect this SSD through SATA to USB converter cable for the cloning)
Once I installed this and booted from this SSD, I found huge boost up...

this is the best ssd out there in the market now. this uses TLC(triple level cell) hence wide capacities are available.
It is certainly better than its predecessor the 840 series which had low performance. this is mainly fast on the account that its processor now runs at 400MHZ compared to 300MHz on the vanilla 840 series.
this drive also features a turbowrite mode which accelerates performance utilising your cpu and ram as cache.
You actually do not need sata to usb for cloning if you are on...

I have never seen that speed in any hard disk, Even though my Dell Inspiron is having only SATA II port the Boot time is only 9 seconds, Shutdown time is a mear 3 secs for Windows 8.1. It is like new life for my old Laptop.

With added Start up applications like Chrome,Firefox, Excel 2013, Word 2013, Powerpoint 2013 and Lync , the SDD managed to boot and start all those app in 40 seconds in total.

Worth buying even if you have system with SATA II port added advantage if you have SATA III port.

I'm a very impatient man and my i7 quad core rig with 8 gb of ram was taking too long to start up programs and games in my opinion. I bought the SSD as a test to see how much more faster it can get.. It takes a lot to truly flatter me with performance and the SSD has managed to do what another 30k worth of processor, RAM and HD upgrades could not have achieved at a fraction of the price. I installed this SSD to my 3 years old Gateway NV59c laptop. The performance is awesome though it's not as good as 840 PRO but still 840 EVO does well. It's worth buying it if you are looking under the budget.

Install Samsung Magician and tweak to increase the performance and optimization of the SSD.

i have bought it at 5049/-, if i could buy it a week earlier it might costs 100/- less. excellent product for first time ssd users. runs very fast than normal hdd, needs no regular defragmentation like hdd to maintain it's health. samsung gives regular update to maintain it's health. booting and shutting is very fast than hdd.
