the tablet is good for someone who has never used a tablet before. When compared to HTC Jetstream, Galaxy tab does not performe upto the mark though bo h have almost the same hardware config. You can watch youtube videos to see smoothness of HTC Sense compared to TOUCHWIZ of galaxy tab. Does not have slot for extended memory.

Don't buy it if you are looking to get royal experience and entertainment and have loads of money at hand. Go ahead, buy an iPad.

Don't buy this if you are thinking of actually using a 10.1 inch half a kg phone to make calls. Buy a phone, instead.

Great looking device and the thinnest and lightest till date. Beat the ipAd also.

Performance wise this device is very fast. HD Videos played smoothly on the default player as well as added apps. Sound output is decent. Could have been higher for video calls requirement. Liked the camera performance very much even though no zoom and 3 MP.

Battery life is very good - 10-12 hrs of continuous use is possible.

It was a disappointment initially when I got it, applications were not running properly, used to crash, touch was sluggish. Then I connected that with Kies on my laptop just to try if things get better. It did a firmware upgrade and upgraded to Android 3.2 and since then it works like a charm.

Pros:
1. USB connectivity, just connects like a USB storage device. You don't need another application (which runs three more app in background to take some precious memory) to send data to this device...

I am one of the pre-order-ers. Having used the product for some time I can say that it mostly meets the purpose i bought it for but still falls short in some areas.
1. It may be lightest (yet) tablet in the market. But its still heavy enough (admitedly with the book case).
