THE REAL VIEW
As marketed by Samsung; Quality is good;
It is lighter ; Plastic quality is good; descent length of USB3 wire & great speed;
As per now i found this one has maximum speed .
I bought it for 3999 from flipkart;
Biggest advantage; Its having 3 years Local warranty ;
& it is having all back-up etc etc softwares for security & back up which is provided by other hard-disk
This product consumes very LOW POWER so ...

A decent cheap harddisk
Containing inside Seagate ST1000LM025, I guess that's Seagate momentus class of harddisk with 8mb cache and 5400 rpm, it performs quite stable. Coming with USB 3.0, it has decent width of cable which means long cable life.
Average copy speed of file of size 3.2 GB from this was stable at almost 28MBPS
Average write speed of same file back to HDD was stable at 22 MBPS.
Both the test was done on USM 2.0 ports. No 3.0 ports, but I guess t...

Awesome product at low price
PROS:
1. Nice design. Small but a little thick.
2. Rubber pads provide a sturdy grip on slippery surface.

Initial Impressions - Great!!!
The delivery was done within 3 days from North to South, reaching well before time. The packing was of the usual cardboard box, inside it was wrapped with the air bubble roll. No damages at all anywhere. Samsung's own packing too was very nice.
Coming to the product, it is very small for a 2 TB, pretty slim, and looks solid and compact. The added textures on top (same as seen in picture) also feels good.

Label is Samsung, But is from Seagate (Made in China)

NTFS File Format
Warning : The product comes NTFS formatted, so may it not work on some smart TV's. I plugged this into my USB 2.0 , 5 yr old machine, it took for ever to transfer1 GB. But the Reading capability was fast.
