Samsung RV509-A0CIN Laptop (1st Gen Ci3/ 2GB/ 500GB/ DOS)  (15.6 inch, Silver)

Got the product in three days. Installed Ubuntu 11.10, worked amazing like a mac product. But was not happy when installed XP SP2. Somewhat slower because of 2 GB Ram & heavy drivers which came along with the product from Samsung. Thats what makes processes little slower, otherwise fine. There's no match for the product in such low price in market yet. So Samsung is on a roll. Recently it won Nokia in mobile market. Lets see what it does with other leading computer manufacturers.

i bought this laptop about a month ago... think i should tell other "flipkarters" about this one...
pros:
1.very slim(compared to compaq and hp laptops)
2.lightweight
3.really fast(u r getting i3 for about 25k.. that's really nice)
4.good looks(dual colored_ silver + blue)
5.nice display(that's the HIGHEST u can get for sub 40k laptops)
6.sound is really "loud" to hear... headphones aren't necessary with this laptop.
6.touchpad is very responsive
7.battery life is AWESOME.. it gets charge...

1. In this cost, this configuration , can you get in Mac book or Sony vaio or Lenovo If yes go for that, forget about it.

2. If you need it for mandatory works and routine works , what else you need which has better speed, good processor verison , and good space and nice sound.

3. If you are looking for a perfect netbook , better search first a perfect wife/husband for you who doest not has any lack point , if you get it, then forget about this netbook.

bought it on july 7, 26100rs since then price has dropped a bit. Came with Free DOS, later i installed Ubuntu 12.04 on it and it takes only 6-7 sec to start. It is best general purpose laptop i'm a student and my requirements are not so much, the only heavy task i do on this laptop is running DRAFT-SIGHT and i works smoothly. I placed an order fro this laptop on 22nd may and the delivery was made on 23rd, now thats superfast delivery. The laptop is fantastic and fast, installed windows 7 on it and it works smoothly, i got a samsung drivers dvd which made the drivers installation easy. All in all an excellent product, the Graphics are vry nice and speeds are good. Its the best choice for a laptop under 25000, thanx flipkart :)
