Seagate Expansion 2.5 inch 500 GB External Hard Disk  (Black)

No doubt this a good hard-disk, but mind you, this doesn't have USB 3.0 support. So, if you have a USB 3.0 support in your laptop or desktop, or likely to have in near future, you are missing a great deal here.

USB 3.0 is ten times faster than USB 2.0

Seagate currently (at the time of posting this review) have no hard disk with out-of-box USB 3.0 support. Some Seagate models however work with USB 3.0 with the help of additional attachment (more $$).

now a days Seagate USB 3.0 HDDs also available, u can choose as per your requirement.
USB 3.0 is 10 times faster in data tarnsfer than USB 2.0
I'm having 2 seagate HDDs (same models) since 2 years. one is of 500GB and second is of 250GB.
Both are working Excellent. Encryption & Decryption can easily be done in these Drives. Very Good Product, no Cons.

I bought this drive about t years back. And so far has turned out to be very helpful and sturdy. Never crashed, good performance, fast read & write on a PC or a laptop. A bit slow at times, when connected to a TV, but otherwise a real value for money. overall an excellent buy!!
