Visitors won't be able to use the "Compare" functionality, or get an idea of its details. The hard drive's specifications listing above is mixed-up, and is too sparse for a product targeted at higher-end buyers. Also, please mention clearly that this is a 5900rpm drive and carries a 2-year warranty.

Mixed Experience this time
First I received this item with poor packing. i mean air cushion weren't used enough and god know what all shock this hdd took during transit.
Guess hdd need more packing than regular items.
i had to search other websites to get complete information about this hdd, flipkart could have added details description.

Product Not Good
I bought 4 drives and 3 out of them have been replaced due to malfunctioning. These high capacity drives from seagate are not stable. Your sensitive data is always at risk with this kind high failure rate. I will not recommend this model of Hard Drive to any body.

Biggest Capacity HDD
I needed a large capacity HDD so went for this
Seagate gives 2 yrs warranty which is good.
Would suggest not to go with WD as after warranty period they don't entertain any requests even if you want to pay.
Also this product only includes the drive ... u need to get a seperate SATA cable and power cord (Will cost Rs 25-30)

Works well
Works great. No issues so far. I initially tried to use it in an external enclosure connected to USB 2.0. I partitioned with GPT and when I tried to create filesystem (mkfs.ext3) it failed (dmesg showed a lot of seek errors). I was worried. Then I read online that some cheap external enclosures only support 32 bit addressing and so can't use all of 4 GB.
Anyway once I connected directly to the SATA port on my motherboard it worked flawlessly. No issues so far as reported by SMART. Go for it.
