This book, which aims to address the preparatory requirements of students doing their Masters in History from the Indira Gandhi National Open University, has been published as part of our IGNOU project. Titled 'Social and Political Thought in Modern India', the book covers one paper, i.e. MPSE-004 in IGNOU's M.A. (IInd Year) syllabus for Political Science and History. The book consists of 15 Chapers. Each one of these contains lots of information relevant for the term-end examinations in question-answer format, including previous years' solved question papers. Answers are given as per the stipulated word limits. At the outset of every section, there is an introduction presenting in a nutshell the crux and essence of its different units along with a brief note on the literary stalwart at the helm of the discussion.
