If u have confusion whether to buy with APO or without APO,i would suggest go for APO one.. as without APO is just a Junk at higher Zoom..
this one will give you more Colour and Clarity even @ higher zooms with steady hands/tripods..!!

Lens just for a start!
Overall, I recommend this lens for the beginners who want a telephoto lens and macro only on an experimentation basis and the lack of VR/IS adds to the pain. The APO version is better than the basic one.
