The DSC-HX9V belongs to the H Series of Sony point and shoot cameras. This digital camera uses the Exmor R CMOS sensor with 16.2 megapixels resolution. The Sony G Lens of this Cyber-shot camera has focal length of 4.28 - 68.48 mm and 24 - 384 mm in the 35 mm equivalent format.You can also zoom your Sony camera up to 16x optically and 64x digitally.
The Sony camera weighs 245 g including the accessories and battery.This compact camera is apt for the travelers and photo enthusiasts as the camera provides detailed close-ups of distant objects. The Sony DSC-HX9V is capable of shooting Full HD videos at the resolution of 1920 x 1080 (60 fps).

Battery and Storage
This point and shoot camera has a rechargeable Lithium ION Battery NP-BG1 installed that can capture 300 shots in one charge. The SD, SDHC and SDXC memory cards can be used to extend the storage space of the digital camera. Good for Pictures, but will take a little time to get used to
The good :
- Picture clarity is great/awesome/really vivid. I had taken pics on the other high zoom cameras, but this one takes the cake.
- 3D photos and panaromic photos, I couldnt get enough of it, plus Sony provides 3 modes in 3D ; one for TV /camera and a hybrid mode
- Lots and lots of modes in which to take pictures, plus you can specify shutter speeds...
