The Sony DCR-SX44E is a low budget Handycam from Sony. This video camera uses a 1/8-inch Advanced HAD CCD sensor. The DCR-SX44E has a still image resolution of 0.4 megapixel. This Sony camera comes with a built-in LED video light function, which makes it easier to shoot even in low light.

The DCR-SX44E can shoot video at a resolution of 720 x 480. This Sony video camera supports JPEG image format, MPEG2-PS movie format and Dolby Digital 2 channel stereo audio format. The Handycam has built-in speakers and microphone. The Electret condenser microphone features a zoom microphone. The Sony DCR-SX44E camcorder has Electronic (SteadyShot) image stabilization software.
