The U100i Yari is a GSM slider phone with 3G support from Sony Ericsson. The handset has a TFT
screen measuring 2.4-inch with support for 16 M colours and a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels. The Yari has features like Gesture and motion-based gaming, Shake control, SensMe applications which enhance the performance of the phone.
The Sony Ericsson Yari has a 5 megapixel autofocus camera with features like face detection, geo-tagging, image stabilizer and LED flashlight. You can record videos at 30 fps with continuous autofocus. The Yari offers high image quality with saturated colours and remains totally usable in direct sunlight. The phone also has secondary camera present above the display.
Design
The Sony Ericsson Yari is a sleek phone with a scratch resistant screen which makes for easy handling of the phone. There are two small knobs above the display, which are the gaming keys. Between the keys is the light sensor, the secondary camera and the earpiece.
Sliding the phone reveals the alphanumeric keypad, which makes texting simple and easy for users. The Yari hosts an elevated volume rocker and the camera key on the right side. The Sony Ericsson U100i can access Internet through EDGE, GPRS, Wi-Fi and 3G. Phone connectors include Bluetooth and USB port which help you to exchange data. The Yari also comes with Track Id recognition which helps music lovers to get details of the track they play. The handset has an internal GPS receiver and WisePilot Navigator.
