SONY MDR-XB90EX/B Wired without Mic  (Black, In the Ear)

This is really an awesome headphone... It has got a solid sound-stage with very strong Highs, mids and lows.
The Bass is spectacular... I have used Sony, JBL, Bose ie2 and Klipsh. Trust me this cans beats them all !!! The clarity is good as well as the bass. I have never found any headphones sounding so good just out of the Box without a single hour of Burn in. I have no idea how good it will sound after 50 hrs of burning in...

I did lots R & D for Sony MDR-XB90EX Extra bass earphones and found awesome. On paper I found its specification impressive but had doubt that whether it really gives that much output or not. Finally aftre doing google, read many reviews and watched youtube video, finally I took risk and ordered this earphone.

When I opened it was awesome and its drivers were massive 16mm odd Shape DOME TYPE (when you actually compare with ur current earphone's driver then only you will find it's driver...

I got these on June 13 as an upgrade to the earlier sony xb30ex. Finally after approx 600hrs of burn in I decided its the right time to review these. The best way to judge these iem's are by plugging them into your laptop, ipod, dedicated mp3 player or smart phones with powerful chipsets like snapdragon, nvidia, etc. Plug them into crappy audio sources, and these will sound equally bad and waste of your 4k. I was blown away by the bass of this product, firstly the bass does not take over other frequency i.e. say I play an instrumental or voice only I get true to the sound audio which is just great. Sub-bass is greatly improved. I have the Sennheiser CX300 II and these Sony earplugs are far better than that when it comes to bass, the mids and highs are similar.
According to me if you are a bass fan you should buy these babies

I will rate these headphones based on my experience.This review is before a good burn-in time. Sound quality will improve with time.

Design - 3/5 : Bulky and looks odd. It's because of massive 16mm drivers(needless) You cannot sleep while wearing them.

I was a bit worried about buying this as even though i got it at a discount of 1000rs(bought it for 3000rs), there isn't much info available about it from trusted sources. My worries were unfounded though as the product turned out to be quite worth the money.

As i had mentioned previously that i was not getting the desired output in noisy surroundings, i tinkered with the eartips supplied with this to check the result. To my surprise the normal eartips without foam worked wonders for my ears. They just blanked out all external noise and the bass just blew me away.
