The Tamron AF 17-50mm f/2.8 SP XR Di II LD Aspherical [IF] is a very serious performer capable to deliver very sharp images at all focal lengths. Vignetting and distortion are about average for a lens in this class. CAs are a bit on the high side towards the short end of the focal range.

Good Lens for a good price
I ordered this on flipkart. So far good results I can see. good lens for a beginner, if you are into portrait I suggest to go for the 28-75 version rather than this one. that should be fine. There is slight aberration but not visible though unless you take pain to notice it. Overall good lens.

I made a windfall gain by grabbing this product from this site on 18.9.14 a price of Rs.16680/-. great lens n best replcament for kit lens
On lens: its one of the best lens in this price range , anyone having a tight budget and wants to have a lens with fix aperture through out , go for it
grt Bokeh / shallow depth of field ,One can use this lens for Candid/ street photography/ wedding / Daily use
few cons like : in very low light autofocus is not so good & during AF the motor makes bit sound but its OK
and much details you can get online.

The delivery is super fast, packaging is very good.

1. It is F2.8 lens so you can take picture in very low light condition also.

Good lens and a great substitution for the 18-55 mm kit lens
I ordered this lens with the exchange offer for 18-55 mm kit lens and I am very impressed with this product. Being an avid photographer for more than 4 years I had outgrown the kit lens ans wanted something better. I found it to be the perfect replacement.

Great lens
After reading lot of reviews and images finally i decided to go for this lens and bought this one from flipkart 6 moths ago. This is a fantastic general purpose lens, IQ i am getting is very good compared to the kit lens in terms of sharpness, color production. build quality also fine and its heavier than kit lens perfectly balances on Nikon D90.

Lens for daily use.
I am using this lens along with my Nikon D7000 for daily use. I am not a professional photographer. I use this instead of Nikon 18-200VR which I quite heavy.
The pictures are really good even in low light.
The price offered in flip kart was excellent.
