He did B.Sc. (Horti) at Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore, M.Sc., (Ag) in Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry at Agricultural College and Research Institute, Killikulam, Vallanad and Completed Ph.D. at Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore. He is specialized in soil fertility, nutrient management with balanced fertilization and remote sensing. He has thirteen years experience in teaching, research and extension activities. He has guided three M.Sc., students and eighteen UG students for their topical research. He has published 2 books, 20 research articles in international journals, 25 research articles in national journals, 60 popular articles and 5 book chapters in reputed ISBN valid books.
