Description
There's something about Herschelle Gibbs - a certain quality that has endeared him to cricket fans in South Africa and around the world. Despite the frustrating on-field inconsistencies of this towering talent, and the messy and very public off-field personal troubles that have tracked him through the years, Herschelle remains one of South African cricket's best-loved sons. In his own, very frank, words, Herschelle Gibbs chronicles the ups and downs of his personal and professional life, and describes what it's been like to be part of the Proteas set-up for the past fourteen years, through the controversies of its various captains, coaches and administrators. "To the Point" is, of course, a spicy story of excess - women, alcohol, money...and plenty of runs - but underlying it all is a warm and generous man who wears his heart on his sleeve.

Very Good Autobiography of Herschelle Gibbs

This is a fantastic and honest Autobiography of South African cricketer Herschelle Gibbs .Although I am an Indian I have always been a big fan of South African Cricket team and players like Klusener ,Gibbs,Pollock and Donald. Gibbs autobiography is very frank filled with plenty of things and also controversial .I give 4/5 rating .I wish he could have avoided writing about his sexual adventures in the book .I don't want to read about them at all. I think Gibbs will never be selected for South ...

A very honest autobiography; does justice to the title !

Being a big cricket fan, I was very interested in Gibbs' autobiography as I wanted to know more about his controversial career. The book provides great insight on Gibbs' early days in cricket and the environment in the South African dressing room. As expected, Gibbs shares a lot of details about the match fixing scandal during South Africa's tour of India and dedicates an entire chapter to it.

In order to avoid any spoilers, I would not like to go in to any details about the chapters but I ...
