I have bought this GPS device as a birthday gift for my dad. The device was easy to set up and get going. I was able to fit it on the windshield very easily. Setting up the route was fairly simple.

I had a litlle difficulty in typing because the response to typing on the keyboard was a little slow; may being used to faster responses on smartfones etc this seemed a little slow. Anyway, you will get over that in a while.

The directions it gives and navigation, advance guidance before a turn...

The product functions as it should. Battery lasts roughly two hours but even on low battery the device does not switch off with the usb car charger. Directions are pretty much accurate but sometimes it actually shows long routes.

Pros- Lifetime support/update for India maps, light, excellent inbuilt mounting on the car windshield, cheap compared to competitive products.

Cons- Battery life of roughly 1.5-2 hours only, if you type an incorrect address then you would have to completely eras...

The Tom Tom navigator is precise and accurate in guidance. Am using the product for the last 2 days only. But had travelled around 30 ams on road to the narrow lanes of chennai too. After updating the maps it is even showing the road diversions as a result of the metro rail work. The update services are available for 90 days only after the activation of the product free of cost.
A small niggle with the device. I started using the product straight out of the box but it was playing a demo vide...

What makes this product unique that the others is the life time map support. Because in GPS navigation , maps will do a major role. TomTom will also provide software updates and fixes. I Bought this device 1 month back and activated TomTom Account , and updated the preloaded map with latest one. It has better options to choose eco routes, fastest routes etc.
A must device if you are going to an interstate travel. Do an update before a long journey. Also don't depend this device 100% , use...

I am using the TOMTOM GPS Via 100 for the past 10 days. Its Worth buying. Overall build quality is good and the built in clamp works perfectly. Best part is TOMTOM India support. All your quarries are answered in a friendly way with no delay at all. This a rock solid machine with a Decent Map details, though routes through villages needs improvement other wise it finds way to most of the places. Only problem I am facing is when you try to find place , you have type the exact spelling otherwis...

Moved to a new city 2 years ago and this was very helpful in navigation in the city. In two instances, it did not have the updated map for new developments on the city outskirts but overall a very good product. The deal was even better as it had life time maps free.

I purchased this product a month back and it is of great use and convenience as the navigation's are clear and is able find most of the places in Delhi/NCR region. Also with lifetime maps, it would be accurate life long.
Though it does not have additional features which are available in other models at higher price band but I feel its the best GPS navigator available in the market at this price range and completely solves the purpose of those people who just require a GPS in their car.

pathetic.... worked only for one year and then stopped working... dont know where to go to get it fixed

the product is really good,but you have to first write city name and then locality(takes time) but once the destination is selected,it reroutes fast so overall a good buy at this price..i got it for just 5990\- after 40% discount from flipkart.,..

TomTom gps device is very much useful in finding difficult routes in urban and rural areas.. but the problem is the Touch screen, it is not very sensitive, it is very hard to operate, we have to press hard on the Touch screen.. Suction holding cup is excellent.....
