    Precise and Graphical Illustrations

The best part of this book (apart from the name suggets) is the graphical human scale describing the size, foliage etc of almost each tree with respect to Average human being. Which gives you clear understanding of the size and proportion as well.
Amazing, handy, nicely organized book so far.

I have one on my shelf and higly recommend.

    Know the trees around yourself

Not just as an environmentalist, but also as a layman I think one must have some minimal optimal knowledge about the trees one sees around in his/her daily life. This is the only book which I have come across so far which is as user friendly as a bird guide book. You will not regret buying this book. Would make a great gift too.
