Soil Nutrient Requirements
Carrots can be grown well in a wide variety of soils. However, commercial carrot farming's ideal soil should be deep, loose, well-drained, and rich in humus. Loamy or sandy loam soils with sufficient quantities of humus are well suited to the cultivation of carrots.
Sowing Method
Directly sow the tiny seeds ¼” deep, 4 seeds per 2cm, and set the soil slightly after seeding. Make sure that the seeds are only just buried. Water the area regularly with the gentlest stream, and keep it constantly moist until the seeds will sprout.
