Have been using since a month, Provides good stability when taking long exposure shots, good build quality and it is got maximum operating height!!! Go for this. Horizontal pan should have been good. Nevertheless for this price, its good to go.

This product is really useful for taking some good pics without any shake....If you are buying this then I would also suggest a remote shutter release with this.....

I own a Nikon D3100 . I was little worried that this will not be able to support a DSLR camera. But it is doing a great job. It has vertical and horizontal pan. The height when fully extended is greater than 5 1/2 feet, which is terrific. I would definitely recommend this for amateur DSLR enthusiasts like me.
