This is the Sata M.2 SSD. It will not work with PCIE based M.2 slot. make sure your motherboard supports Sata M.2 Ssd..

SSDs are of two types; PCIe and Sata. This is Sata supported SSD. Do check your laptop specifications before installing one. I have a MSI gf65 laptop where 1 slot only supports PCIe, and the other slot supports both. I bought this SSD for my second slot to upgrade my total storage space, and it works completely fine.
