Packaging is nice. This is the second 2TB WD HD I bought in a month, because the earlier one was so good I gifted it to someone special. Nice HD, no need of external power source, portable, Speed around 40-50 MBPS at USB 3.0 which is sufficient for me, as I am more concerned about storage space than with speed. A little bit heavier...

Got very good deal and got it for Rs.5,799. This HDD is quiet small, so very handy to keep it anywhere to carrying in a pocket. The device is having Type-B 3.0 USB ports. I am getting speed of about 60mbps to 90mbps.

Its suppose to work with 3.0 speeds and it never works for me at USB 3.0 speeds. I have tried on multiple laptops with USB 3.0 standard ports and it never crosses max of 18MB/s speed.
I had a hell lot of expectation from this, but turned out to be disappointing.

I was looking for an external hard drive to transfer heaps of data from my aging Notebook and wanted something wireless as well when this popped up. Absolutely fantastic design and it's actually smaller than it looks in the images. The cable that is supplied along with the product is equally good and conveniently sized. Transfer rates are snappy as this uses USB 3.0. If you've got the cash, just go for it.

Guys It the best hard drives manfacturing company ammong all , but WD ELEMENT series is quiet technology less , i will sugget go fo further sections such as WD ULTRA , WD ESSENTIAN , OR PASSPORT bcz security/or lock feature is not available for ELELEMNT , no software by wch u can secure ur hard drive. Go only few more bucks u hv to spend nd u will get a gud feature. I will give 5* for FLIPKART SERVICE, WD bt not RESELLER.

Just passed 11 hrs. the product has been handed to me. Delivery happened before time. Driver consumes data at max, i observed, 80mbps which fulfilled my requirement. No security option available to protect my driver from unauthorised uses since wd doesnt provide that one except i chose to download from their website complying hundreds of WD laws. Anyway o`erall found it good at this moment.

I needed a external portable storage which could easily fit in my jeans pocket and carry around loads of movies, tv series, games , books, music etc.

WD Elements 2.5 inch 2TB External Hard Drive suits my needs perfectly. Its compact, gives me around 1.9 TB of usable space . The Copy speed is decent enough . I can easily run the HD movies directly from this HD without any choppiness...
