Where Rainbows End, written by Cecelia Ahern, details whether destiny decides the course of friendships, relationships and love.

    Summary Of the Book

Where Rainbows End tackles the story of two young friends as they journey from childhood to adulthood, and deal with a gamut of issues, relationships, separation and misunderstandings.

Set in Dublin, Rosie and Alex are two young children who are also best friends. As they grow up together, they experience the ups and downs that life has in store for them. From the fun of teenage nights to dating problems, their friendship grows with time. At the age of 17, their relationship starts getting a romantic touch.

Rosie is a planner, and this enables her to get admission into Boston University. But a shocking revelation changes Rosie’s plans and makes her stay in Ireland forever. What is this revelation that makes her set aside her dreams? Alex, on the other hand, moves to Boston and becomes a medical student. He also finds a new love in college.

Alex and Rosie exchange many emails, notes and letters during this period of separation, which makes them realize that there is much more in store for them in life than they could even have imagined. Can they overcome the obstacles of unwanted circumstances, bad luck and finally risk their friendship for true love?

Where Rainbows End became the number 1 bestseller in Ireland and the United Kingdom. This book also won the German CORINE Award in 2005.

    Intriguing!

I am head-over-heels in love with Cecelia Ahern's P.S. I love you (both - the book & the film) and that, frankly, was the sole reason for me to go ahead and buy this book, hoping it would be as good, if not more, as her very first novel.

What I found most intriguing about this book is her style of narration - entirely through Emails, Letters, Cards & Text Messages! It breathes lives into the characters and you find yourself lost in their world, as if it's your own.

Well, 50 years is too lon...

    No words to describe

Clearly I am out of words to describe about this book. May be I am giving it a 5 star because I found myself in some part of the story. Sometimes I wondered how the hell did the author (Cecelia Ahern) knw about my story...
That's the best thing about this book. We all can find some part of us in this book. Reminding us about our childhood, our best friend, our mistakes in life and leaving us a hope that everything's gonna be perfect in the end. Or will it ever be...
The story is about Rosie a...

    Amazing like a rainbow!

i always loved the theme of soulmates finding thier way back around to each other,..this book is one of that kind!
One interesting fact about this book is that ,it is neither of his perspective or her or both.
instead the story is said thorugh letters and mails which i found very much charming.

Other than the love fact, the life of Rosie gives us a hope.We could see, in life, evrything is for a purpose.Rosie's life has been through so many downs than ups..but in the end that meaning of thing...

    A novel for all

So whoever thinks he/she is too old to take that dance class or join that course they always wanted to or thinks that its too late to say someone you love them meet Ms Rosie Dunne...

There are many things to love about this book.

Firstly, the narration. The entire story is narrated through mails, texts, messages and chats! One must have the experience of this because its delightful and unique.

Secondly, the characters and their relationships. You instantly relate and when you do so you kno...

    Magical....!!

A wonderful book on Friendship, love and growing up... I finished this book a few hours back and I still find Rosie, or rather I'm still with Rosie.
Its the story of two BFFs, their lives together and apart, through thick and thin, laughs and tears... through LIFE. I found myself laughing and crying along with the characters, my friends for a 12-hour train journey.
Best of all, I loved the way the story is told.. thorugh notes, letters, e-mails and text messages...., keeping up wth the chang...

    Spellbound!!

It was the first book of Cecelia Ahern which i read and it has kept me on and on.I have now completed 3 other books of hers and i just canot stop.By far this has been the best ever. The very manner in which the entire story has been written adds to that magical touch. At first you think how far can you get by reading letters and emails throughout the story but as you progress , you get to know the magic. Rosie Dunne, well, you rock!! Cecelia ahern..hats off to you for writing such a wonderful ...

    Different from rest!

This love story is quite different from the usual love stories. Quite simple and realistic. It takes a while absorb what actually is happening as our minds are already occupied by monotonous love stories! But watch out! It ain't predictable. Not a great love story yet a simple one. Will surely bring a smile once u have completed reading the book. Dreams come true where rainbows end :)
    Have a nice read people!
