He has authored ten books in the Diary Of A Wimpy Kid series, including, Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Hard Luck, Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Cabin Fever, Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Last Straw, Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days, Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Ugly Truth, and Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules.

Born on 19th February, 1971, in Maryland, United States, he studied at the University of Maryland at College Park, and wanted to be a cartoonist. In 2004, his online version of The Diary Of A Wimpy Kid became an instant phenomenon, leading to the bestselling book version. He was included in Time magazine's 100 Most Influential People in the World list for 2009, and lives with his wife and two sons, in Plainville, Massachusetts.
