  • Description

What’s the best way to throw the Gauls into an uproar and confuse them completely? Julius Caesar thinks introducing them to business and economics will do just that, and then some! Obelix and Co. is the 23rd novel in the hilarious series by Albert Uderzo and Rene Goscinny.

    Summary of the Book

Obelix has always carried menhirs. He knows it’s a good trade, but what he has never considered is the possibility that it might be a good business as well. A tiny Roman visits him one day and tells him that he will pay him good money if he delivers menhirs to his Roman camp. Despite finding it odd, Obelix decides to play along, what’s the harm anyway? However, the Roman begins paying him more money, and tells him to hire assistants. He also suggests that Obelix dress better, like a real businessman. Soon, Obelix finds himself spending less time with Asterix, off hunting boars, and more time managing his business. He has no idea that Caius Preposterus has been sent by none other than Julius Caesar himself. The Roman is a graduate of the Latin School of Economics, and he has a penchant for business. However, is business really a good thing for the Gauls?

    Obelix rules here!

I had loved reading Asterix since I was a child. This book was a great read. It showed how the Romans wanted to corrupt the gauls using money. But our brave villagers fight back with all their might and ultimately, they win.
Thanks to Flipkart for delivering the book on time and in a great package. Highly recommended!
