vinayagar Agaval is a song full of devotion and full of secrets of yoga doctrine, one of the best and concise hymn among the texts bestowed by Auvaiyar. The devotee (Auvaiyar.) worshiped Ganesha as Lord and Guru and by having been taught the secret five sylable mantra and doctrine of yoga by the Lord ganesha himself describes in words the essence of the yoga in which she was immersed in the experience of attaining wisdom of brahman (suprme god) and salvation she has given us this book as a great guide so that we all can feel the bliss that she has attained. Agaval is a song sung with a sound and melody similar to the sound of a peacock. Peacock enjoys seeing the rain clouds when it is raining the peacock dances and makes loud cries of joy. soaking in the elixir of divine grace and enjoying that bliss and singing with joy like the peacock to express it to the world avvaiyar also sings her experience in this metre for the welfare and benefit of the world. In this book, the text has been explained in simple Tamil with the help of Ganapathiya Shastras such as Ganapati Sahasranamam Vedanta Shastra and Yoga Shastras. Meditations on the Ganapatis are also given in the book where it is relevant.
