After a stint in journalism, Dr. DN. Guruprasad joined the IPS in 1976-and retired as Director General of police in 2011. In the police, his recruitment of over 750 Sub Inspectors most transparently brought him praise far and wide.
Guruprasad was a member of the interview boards of the UPSC and the KPSC for many years. lie continues to help several organisations in their recruitment process. He has been mentoring aspirants for the Civil Services Examinations since 2018.
