Author Info | - Sujit Kumar Choudhary is an Associate Professor and the HOD of Sociology and the Coordinator of Dr B.R. Ambedkar Shodh Kendra, Mahatma Gandhi Central University (MGCU), Motihari, Bihar. Before joining the MGCU, he also worked as an Assistant Professor of Sociology at the Central University of Jharkhand, Ranchi and Hidayatullah National Law University, Raipur. Dr. Choudhary occupied a position under 2% of the top World Scientists list, in the Alper Dodger (AD) Scientific Index 2023, and 2024, released by the Standford University, USA. He obtained his MA, M.Phil. and Ph.D. degrees in Sociology from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi. He has been conferred many awards, including the most prestigious UGC-Research Award (2016-18). He has published around 41 research papers, and presented more than 75 papers, including at the Harvard University. He has published four books to his credit of international repute, Contemporary Sociological Theory; Right to Education in India: A Study of Jharkhand; Thinkers and Theories in Sociology: From Comte to Giddens and NGOs, Education and Social Capital: A Micro Study of Tribals.
