Synopsis and Features
The events of Hitman Absolution take place in the United States, where Agent 47 is betrayed by his own people and left to fend for himself. The police are on his tail and he must search for clues as to why his world came crashing down. Agent 47 has to travel through a dark and twisted world in order to get to the people who know what is going on. Meanwhile, Blake Dexter, the master criminal has plans to stop Agent 47 from finding out who is responsible for the chaos. Lead Agent 47 through each mission, by hiding in the shadows and striking quietly to kill targets without alerting the rest of the enemies.
Hitman Absolution begins with Agent 47 confronting his handler, Diana Burnwood, who is hiding in a safe house as she has become the Agency’s next target for termination. Diana, according to the Agency has gone rogue and must be terminated to avoid further exposure of the Agency. After mortally wounding Diana, Agent 47 decides to find out why she left. He finds out that Diana was taking care of a teenage girl, Victoria, who is wanted by the Agency and that she had to leave suddenly to protect the girl.
The cinematic story sequence of the game is highly realistic and well scripted. The distinctive art direction and game design ensures you feel at home playing Agent 47, while also introducing new features that improve gameplay. David Bateson continues to voice the character of Agent 47 in the game. Hitman Absolution runs on IO Interactive’s Glacier 2 game engine that ensures smooth gameplay and action sequences even during graphic heavy scenes. The new Instinct Mode helps Agent 47 predict enemy patrol routes, in order to avoid them and remain hidden. Though the game is easier to play because of the improved gameplay, the hardcore aspects have been retained.
