Motorola isn't listening and this problem has been around for a while. After disconnecting usb or changing setting on / off on storage MTP, the battery immediately drops to 1%.
This is happening in US,UK and India too. I got my phone 2 days back and tested and yes it does happen. The battery reading goes wrong once you enable / disable MTP, I'm using my phone on 1% battery level for 4-5 hours. Placed the order for Moto G on 6th Feb around 11:30 PM and it was delivered to me by 2:30 PM on 8th of Feb. This was crazy fast service by Flipkart. Kudos. Although the availability of 16 GB would have been fantastic, I settled for the 8GB version. (When we placed order 16GB version was already out of stock.)

I use a nexus 4 (16GB), which in my mind was great value for money. We bought this phone for my wife. Now about the phone.

The phone is really good no lag at all.
Sale to lenovo will not affect this phone or any future moto offerings in a major way as the CEO has promised to conserve its brand and let it act as a separate entity.
As for out-of-stock 1 star raters..
Stop whining and wait...don't undermine this phone.
The camera is much better than those 8 MP cameras of micromax, karbonn and even samsung.

I was one of the first few people who ordered the Moto G. Ordered it at midnight 7 minutes after launch and also opted for the 1day guarantee. Flipkart really stood true to their word. My phone was delivered by noon on 7th Feb! So brownie points to Flipkart for their quick and awesome service.
