Vikram shines as a vagrant in Bala's award winning third film. As an actor he doesn't shy away from ugly and demanding roles- without or without much dialogue as in this case. Surya-- not yet the Kollywood superstar he's now become-- delivers a strong performance as his happy-go-lucky friend; while Laila Mehdin and Sangeetha both turn in good supporting parts.
