When the son of a multimillionaire is given money instead of affection, it is not a surprise that he turns out to be spoilt and resentful of his father. Loosely based on the film Arthur by Steve Gordon, directed by Prakash Mehra and starring Amitabh Bachchan, Bharat Bhushan and Chandrashekar, Sharaabi is a Hindi drama film that follows the alcohol-addicted son of a rich industrialist who falls in love with the daughter of a poor blind man. Due to this, his father kicks him out of his house and the young man is now faced with the challenge of surviving on the cold streets of a cruel world.
