Awesome lens for your FX or DX camera!
This lens from Tamron has got all rave reviews in reputed photography websites and it truly deserves it. At a constant f/2.8 aperture it's the fastest mid-range zoom lens available in this price segment. I've bought it for my Nikon D7100 which has a DX sensor. On DX sensor this gives an equivalent 38-112 mm coverage plus future-proofing when one upgrades to a FX camera in future.

Delightful Lens
Pros
1. VC gives an advantage of 2-3 stops (Tested at a wedding)
2. Sharpness at f2.8 is amazing. Comparable to Nikon 24-70
3. Solid build quality with a metal mount
4. Weather sealed
5. Maximum bang for the buck - I feen its better than the nikons version of 24-70
Cons: Not cons really, but just minor adjustments
1. Distortion at 24mm (can be easily corrected in LR)
2. Vignetting at 24mm at f2.8. (can be easily corrected in LR)
3. Slight AF fine tuning necessary

Q:is this sony e mount?
A:Yes. I bought this camera and even though it says "Designed for Nikon DSLRs" in reality this lens does not mount on any Nikon cameras.
DO NOT BUY IF YOU HAVE A NIKON DSLR.
