The Lucky One is a story of a US Marine Logan Thibault who finds a photograph of a woman in the sand during his time in Iraq. He keeps the picture with him and soon after is a series of events which makes him seem like he is suddenly very lucky. There could be only one explanation to this: the photograph.

Summary of the Book

US Marine Logan Thibault finds the photograph of a smiling young woman during his duty in Iraq. Instead of throwing it like he might do otherwise, he decides to keep it. He soon realizes that he is carrying the photograph with him wherever he goes. He immediately comes to realize a sudden streak of luck when he wins poker games and survives a deadly combat in which two of his good friends die. His friend can think of only one explanation to all of this: the photograph of the smiling girl.
